I see Tranmere v Solihull is off, I imagine a few others will fall foul of the weather too

Should be some comedy action in both goalmouths in this weather .... I'm backing Rodders to leave tired defenders and a lot of water in his wake to grab a late winner.

You could be right charco but provided we more than match Guiseley's workrate, we should record a fourth win. Solihull is the more likely banana skin imho.

Could it be another 2..1 home win...or a 3..2 due to the weather?
I will go 4..1 then

It shouldn’t really be a nail biter we need one more win at most, but losing today is very typical Pools!! Though being Pools I would rule out the nail biter. Louis Laing discuss!?

In a season of new lows losing to that lot has got to be right up there.

I hope Laing and at least 4 others are not at the club next season no
Matter what performances they produce for the rest of the season,
They also are partially responsible for our current situation.

Harrison is consistently crap, Laing occasionally looks like he could do a job at this level but the rest of the time he makes Harrison look like Leonardo Bonucci

Football is a funny game, I'm sure most of us felt we would win today after our little run but Guiseley had other ideas. I actually thought they were very well organised and pretty much snuffed out any threat we could offer. Let's face it, once we got in the final third we just lacked any conviction and that was probably down to their shape, how often have we struggled to break sides down who play 4-5-1. I can only think of one effort their keeper made a save from and they probably had 2/3 really good openings.
We did control most of the play but looked very tired in the second half, this isn't helped by the squad size and a lack of options to freshen it up. Felt a bit sorry for laing coz he'd actually played fairly well until his blunder but if we are in this league next season we need a couple of no nonsense central defenders who just do the simple things well.
Hopefully they can bounce back on Saturday but I'm sure that would too easy for pools!

Disappointing to lose against a team as good as down. The team deserve to be cut some slack after recent exertions though. They've done well of late in what was a tough schedule of games , so yesterdays lethargy was maybe understandable.

Avoid defeat to Solihull on Saturday and that should be enough, failing that another 2 points in the remaining 4 games, and I think we will be safe. Would love to think we could rack up 10 points in remaining games, and would hate it if we do the usual and sleepwalk into disaster. Solihull and Torquay at home though, could it be any easier ? Err! probably, as expect more of the Chester, Guiseley type rearguard actions from Solihull and Torquay, the teams we usually find hard to break down. We do seem to fare better against the weaker sides physically, who allow us to play football , so maybe away at Sutton could be our coupon buster.
