Alright, lads! I found a thread where some of you are discussing my dad, who was active on the folk scene around Hartlepool and Durham in the '60s and '70s. He recently had all his old recordings digitized, so I've put them on YouTube and up for download. Maybe there's a few around here who remember him and want a listen?

One user, "grabec", said he'd "pay good money" to hear him sing 'Shores of Old Blighty' – well, there's a version on the third album here, which was never released. If anyone knows the fella, maybe you could direct him to it?

All the best,
Chris Fenwick

FYI, Chris, youve got the wrong gender for grabec.

I've got the vinyl version of 'Looks at Lot Like Me' and it's one of the best folk records of its generation. 'John of Dreams' is just sublime. The nights he played at the Nursery Inn folk club were some of the best ever. Thanks ever so much for putting the album up.

Oh, my apologies! Please let her know about the recordings – she can hear "Shores of Old Blighty" for free!

Very nice to hear that! I'm very fond of the recordings on "Vox Et Box" too – he says they're more representative of what he would sing live. The version of "Wild Mountain Thyme" on there is my favourite.
