So, according to an unnamed protester 'the British Government has not defended the people of Afrin'.

Another activist talked about the 'silence of the British government'.

Well, as one of those tired British taxpayers who just spent hours on a train stuck outside Stalybridge - and so missed a plane to Newquay - where I was going in an attempt to create a few British jobs (sorry Horden - I wear a suit too) can i just say?

Where is Afrin? Is it somewhere in the Home Counties? What has Manchester Piccadilly got to do with Syria or ISIS or Turkey?

And aren't we all supposed to adhere to British Values - these being:
democracy.
the rule of law.
individual liberty.
mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.

And so, to all of you who indiscriminately screwed up the British transport system (causing untold upset - I saw a girl get the news on the phone that she had missed saying farewell to her mother in a hospice as she had been stuck on a train less than five miles from where she died) can I just say, please move to somewhere where you will be happy and stop messing us about due to problems caused by folk who have nothing to do with the rule of law in this increasingly chaotic land?

And while the liberal elite now attack my crude views, I'm going to drink a large amount of alcohol as therapy.........

Aren't protests supposed to garner support and understanding?
