Any consortium taking over will end in tears. The partners will fall out when more money is needed. Read Marin Watson’s blogs re Dagenham, Hereford, York and ourselves. History at Darlo will repeat itself with Raj Singh, the Trust will lose any investment it makes and Sage will want their pound of flesh if only on deferred terms. The mysterious legacy finance issues will bite any future owner any indemnity obtained from Sage will be worthless. Finally the police investigation will rumble on and conflicts of interest with agents will keep the National league hovering to keep a transfer embargo in place. Indeed the National league are harder nosed than the Premier League over sanctions and without billions of TV money. This is all before we either continue recycling failed past managers, directors of football and chief executives, or appoint another useless idiot as manager with the consortia ( and a new Head of Recruitment)who haven’t a clue about football and continue with the useless excuses we have as players, many on 2 year contracts and who get injured, throw their toys out of the pram or take a sickie

See sense bite the bullet accept demotion and a clean Phoenix club, start enjoying watching Northern League as we slowly move back up the pyramid at the Vic ( as long as chips are on the menu). Who knows as other non league clubs have found with Jeff as President, Trust owned and even Musgrave putting in his £1.5m in, we can start again

End of rant

No individual will invest significant amounts into a trust run club, Any investor will want the bigger share or ownership.
It happened not long ago at a club not far from here, The investor offered 1,000,000 but stipulated that the trust hand
Over thier stake in the club.

Who says that local business wont support a community club? The businesses I spoke to said exactly the opposite, they won’t put money into a dead duck but will contribute to a club owned by the people of the town.

Because it happened there doesn't mean it happens here or anywhere else.

Same applies to winning trophies and league titles, just scrub the words anywhere else.

The only way the club is going to be saved is if someone wins the Euro lottery and the prize is over £20m. Then the winner can pay off the debt. Any proper business people are not going to use their money to pay unknown debt. Better to go bust and start again.
