A lot of faffing about in the interview, but it's obvious he's walked.

Good! He was Harrison's wingman, a sometimes divisive figure in the Boro youth set up so no use in this situation.

Got a problem with his gums apparently. Don't laugh - probably hurts like hell!

Then again, he's never mentioned in injury updates, so could be another smoke screen.

Good riddance to Jenkins IF his assumed permanent departure is subsequently confirmed. The inexperienced Harrison had a golden opportunity to aappoint an assistant who had experience of this Godawful league but elected to give the job to one of his inexperienced mates. It would appear that both have reaped the seeds of failure that were sown by Harrison and the owners last year - but the club is paying a high price for their inexperience and incompotence.

As for Munns, despite being a bit of a short-arse lightweight he is one of the few Pools players that possess a modicum of flair - he could certainly add a bit of bite to the midfield - if his dental problems can be resolved.

He just doesn't have that bite in midfield

Jenkins was an academy coach, a world apart from the real thing.
Like comparing a nursery teacher to a college lecturer, both vital, but one deals with the finished product.

academy and youth football is played more differently than adult league football. its all about the technical side of the game and have seen players dragged off for doing a bad tackle.

A chap at the Vic last Saturday was saying that Munns had been due a pay increase after six months but alluded to the much mentioned link between the number of a player's appearances and the subsequent payment.

He could certainly provide some flair and a possible goal or two but what about the necessary chew?

For me there must have been rift between the the backroom staff of Ian McGuckin and co and Harrison , they always stepped up in the past.
Possibly Harrison wasn’t interested in selecting any of the players from the Youth squad and ignored them proven by the fact Harrison never had any on the bench.
Put Bates on gardening leave, he doesn’t appear interested and has admitted he doesn’t want the job and leave it too Ian McGuckin and co, we can’t do any worse.

Did anyone else notice that Bernard Hirmer wasn't there yesterday either?
