Paul Watson will no doubt have someone in mind already, do Full90 have any out of work managers on their books?!

Wonder if Dave Jones fancies it!

On Football Manager, this usually indicated that we're going to be taken over by an oil tycoon. So that's nice.

Far too late to have any significant affect. If the club can afford to dispense with his services, why was it not done much sooner?

How is it that a full time club as we are give away goals in the final quarter of the game, often against part timers? Those in charge must address fitness because it comes down to effort and desire at NL level. Goals come as a result of mistakes not great attacking moves and the forcing of errors requires the harassing of opponents.

Apparently the prospective owners have insisted on his dismissal, or so I'm told.
Can't reveal any more, sorry.

You would have to say that if Pools really are on the brink of administration, sacking Harrison now (when he should have gone months ago) makes bugger all sense.

So maybe there is another twist to the tale - that or Duxledge are the biggest incompetents ever to run a football club. Or both.

It was on oddschecker, has gone now though weirdly, though you can see a couple of names still.

Has Compo told you who it's going to be yet?

People are calling for Ronnie Moore to save us, isn`t that a bit like floundering in the pacific and a dinghy with a plaster comes to the rescue?

Can't see a new man coming in, unless it comes with new owners. I reckon Teflon Bates will be given the job until the end of the season

Given where these rumours started more likely to be Pam and Sage wanting to deflect attention away from herself before a home game like they have done before the last 3 home games and to try and keep fans interested in the hope it bumps up attendances. Ask yourself why would a " prospective " owner be demanding a manager gets the sack ? First priority would be actually doing a deal to get the club, then they could sack whoever they wanted when they took over, because at the moment Blackledge holds all the cards. He isn't going to sack someone because someone who might be interested in buying the club tells him to. People putting 2 and 2 together and making whatever number they would like to see more likely. Like Horden says leaving Bates in charge for the next few weeks wont cost them a penny more than they are already spending but gets fans off their backs.

Bates for me is a better option than Harrison. I can see the logic behind those seeing this move as no more than a diversion tactic but I think everyone already accepts league form and managers are the least of our worries. If a takeover isn't imminent then appointing another manager would be pointless unless Paul Watson is justifying his job?!

If a takeover is imminent why would they appoint another solicitor to sell the club and be begging anyone interested to come forward just a few days ago ? The Collier and Wood takeover with Ince as manager rumour has been doing the rounds for weeks but even the club have said the only one that progressed beyond showing an interest was Musgrave and he said his £1.5 million wouldn't be enough so seems to me the club keep putting whispers out to Pams People and letting the rumpurs grow from there.

I've heard that Greggs are interested in a takeover and that's why catering has been outsourced to burger vans so they can install mini Greggs in all the kiosks.
They will look to appoint Peter Reid in the next week or so.

Whatever they do will be wrong in some peoples opinion!
Most have been crying out to get shot of Harrison for weeks/months. Now that they have finally done it the conspiracy theorists are out in force. Whatever the reason surely it can't make the situation any worse. Lets just hope someone can now conjure up a few wins from somewhere. Agree though that this could be the least of our worries!

Sacking Harrison is like sacking the captain of a ship with a rotten hull as it sinks into the sea. Bringing a new captain in who will give new directions in which to steer the ship won’t stop it sinking...

And Harrison tried to stop the ship sinking, by removing the ribs, girders and bulkheads from the hull. Having no one in charge will be better than Harrison , he really was that bad.

Unless the transfer embargo gets lifted then I can’t see a real change. The CB partnership will still be the same and we will still leak goals. Even if it’s someone who can get them organised then we have defenders who will still make basic errors.

If we get someone in and he has tools to the job then it may be different, but as it stands that is not the case.

I see Higgy is mentioned as well. Now I always thought his team needed just a couple of nasty leader types in there and we would have been a good side. But that’s fine now. It’s scrapping at the bottom of the national league and I simply don’t think he will be able to set up a team to fight and scrap their way out of it.

Overall it just feels a bit ‘whatever’ for me. I just hope that now people have got their wish they will show respect to someone who has come across as a decent bloke who tried his best. Having a look at the Facebook group soon though so not holding my breath.

I reckon Pam should take charge, she's shit at accounting, perhaps she has hidden talents as a football manager.

Fucking finally!! Some good news for our club hopefully he fucks straight back to the Welsh league the quicker he's out of this town the better! I'd have Ronnie Moore back in a heartbeat myself like or a expierienced manager at this level which I have been saying from the start, It was a massive gamble they took on Harrison in the first place specially with no expirence in this league and giving him a 3 year deal only pools could do that, Maybe if we appointed a more expierienced pair off shoulders in the start we woudnt be hovering above the relegation places, Cue all the comments about our financial situation yeah it's understandable but only pools could turn to the Welsh league for a manager league after been relegated from league 2, Surely there must of been more better candidates for the job.

I'm not sure its all about lack of experience, I just think he was a poor manager. Paul Cook of Wigan started off at Sligo Rovers and he has done okay, as I'm sure have many others. Its just us, we have a way of picking them, experienced or otherwise.

I'm listening to his last interview with BBC Tees and it's embarrassing. I'm so pleased he's gone. He didn't know if the players were feeling the pressure of dropping down the table!

I’ve hoped and prayed for this day far longer than most (the opening day of the season) but whilst I feel that my initial feeling that we had appointed a clueless numpty has at last been recognised by the equally clueless numpties currently mismanaging our club, I feel no absolutely no sense of elation or satisfaction just apathy for the situation. Perhaps if and when the club is saved and I can stick two fingers up at Blackledge, Duxbury and their cohorts (and Jenkins cos he has no place here either) I may once again start to care about this car crash of a football club because at present I feel absolutely nothing.

Two successive relegations on his CV will set Bates up well for a future career in management.

Point made, But I'm sure the majority of people on this forum would have Ronnie back until the end of the season just to keep us up if anything else and move on from there give him a deal until the end off the season, Rather than jump in and give a bloke from the Welsh league a 3 year contract, I certainly think the majority of people would rather have Ronnie over Harrison anyday off the week, Well I know I would anyway.
