Further to the statement issued yesterday we would like to provide the following update.

We can confirm that Rachel Cartwright, who set up the Just Giving fundraising page for the Club, has now paid the outstanding HMRC debt.

HMRC have confirmed that they will cancel the serving of the Winding Up Petition and the process to withdraw the Winding Up order is underway.

Once again we would like to thank Rachel and all of the fans and community for their generosity of spirit, time and money to support the Club.

Thanks to the fans generosity we can now move the £48k we had earmarked to pay this bill to elsewhere.

The penny hasn't really dropped with some people that this is what they've done.

Seen some dude saying like, see we told you it wasn't going into sages pocket.

Well it has, cos they haven't had to pay the tax bill ffs the fans have.

The level of stupidity among some Pools Fans is staggering!!!! stpid

My leccy bill is due and I'm not going to pay it cos I fancy spending the money earmarked for it on sex and drugs and rock and roll....does someone fancy paying the bill for me????

I think calling people who raised the money is out of order, this was done with the best of intentions and unfortunately hijacked by others. With hindsight Sage are probably over the moon that their potential pot of cream left to plunder is better off by the 48k.
Hopefully the syndicate Jeff Stelling was talking about last night will come to fruition.
He was certainly advocating backing the club to hopefully keep us in this league.
I personally am torn, if it is the only way to be rid of the cancer in our club is to go into liquidation then yes please.
