That’s a lot of words to tell us fuck all.

It looks like a desperate plea more than a statement.

Perhaps talks wouldn't have broke down with the previous potential investors had there been full access to what was owed and to whom.

If someone with a lot of money is mentioning a black hole then you know something's wrong!

That smacks of desperation. We could well be days away from the end.

It’s shockingly written as well, it’s like an incoherent ramble.

Really does reek of desperation. As has been said how on earth can they expect anyone to invest in something when they cannot see a clear picture of the level of funding required.

The likelihood of a number of separate investors coming forward to join together would be highly unlikely given that all would need to do their due diligence and I’d be amazed if all were happy and able to agree the way forward.

'What is clear is that if timescales were permitting there is little doubt that an iconic Club such as Hartlepool United FC would have little difficulty attracting a new equity owner'

I'm just waiting for someone on Facebook to tell us how much the club need the just giving money handing over now...

What a load of bullshit

"With this in mind therefore we would urge anyone that is thinking along these lines that they should contact the solicitor with their appetite for equity investment and proof of funds for that level. "

This isn't fucking dragons den.

Interesting the final sentence that the solicitors are very clearly acting for Sage

I saw the statement on Facebook, I dont know if it's on any other media sites. Surely if you are a company wishing to attract investors or sell the business to the value that is required in our case this is not the way to do it. There must be other more formal methods. Considering the time that has elapsed since the original statement explaining the club was for sale and interested parties walking away this is quite bizarre.
For me it's a coded message saying 'that's all folks - we're fooked'.

"the Club understands that there has been significant interest to date"

Yep, whoever "the club" are, they are not they are not the solicitor's client. Maybe the tea lady at Sage knows what's going on.

Two sugars please Pam.

Can someone translate that into English for me ? An 8 year old would probably be embarrassed to have their name put to that. Utterly shocking.

To summarise:

We’ve given it our best shot, but it looks like you’re all going to hell in a hand basket and we’ve invest enough of our time in this now, so we wish you well, but it looks like you’re meandering down shit creek and we don’t really want to lend you a paddle anymore...

Nah it’s beyond they will take what they can and run very soon. It’s probably been the plan since the summer take what they can until the season ticket and parachute payment ran out if they could have found a buyer then bonus. It would explain totally them having no regard for the finances, book keeping or paying of basic utility bills. We have had our pants pulled down.

That’s a shame, presumably it is still a possibility in the future albeit when it’s far too late.

I think the trust + investor should make them a solid offer to take over with all debts wiped(including "legacy debts") in exchange for fuck all. Absolutely none negotiable as the club in its current state isn't even worth that.

Utter bollocks, why bother making a statement that adds up to the square root of fuck all, it's as if they're hoping that someone with the mental capability of a brain damaged amoeba has a quick look at the website and suddenly thinks that buying a football club would be a cracking idea, what next, putting the club on EBay, might not actually be a bad idea following the storming success with the pint glasses a while back.

No way has Mark written that. He’d be appalled if people thought he did. Still not over how atrocious the wording is. It’s almost as if it was written in haste with the getaway driver becoming increasingly impatient out front ‘get a fucking move on Paul would ya’

Mr PJ is correct. Says fuck all.

It's funny really, I am resigned to the fact that we're a dead man walking but it's still fucking painful.

I genuinely always thought we'd have THIS club. It's always been the thing to fall back on. Something to look forward to on a Saturday when you've had a fucking shit week.

It's like splitting up with your first love after finding out she's been knobbing someone else behind your back but also right in front of you.

Sorry if that's a fucking shit analogy Mr snowy, best I can do.

Picture the scene..... the administrator is almost at the gate when two figures rush out of the back door to make an emergency getaway.... sadly due to financial restraint, this is no Helicopter from the roof job, the only vehicle left on the car park is Billy Horner's Blue Datsun... the fleeing figures climb in, the driver turns the key.... and turns it.... and turns it..... the administrator is about to turn into the car park, finally it catches, and burns away in a cloud of blue smoke.... the administrator shakes a fist and shouts, "Come back you swines, that's club property and the most valuable asset left!"
