Great to read to that he’s involved with the Trust meeting on Monday. Someone with good contacts in the game who actually cares about the club I’d have no qualms whatsoever with him being involved with the club going forward.

Hopefully he'll take on the role of Trust director of sports.
Exactly the sort of person needed going forward to advise on football matters.

Tubby 2.0's teams always managed to avoid relegation by the skin of their teeth. That is a result.

I think Stockport County fans speak very highly of Turner's managerial skills.

We’re more in the Keith Houchen era (when I was the “Voice Of Reason  ).

Despite my misgivings about Chris Turner's second coming as Manager, I'm really glad he's on board with the Trust. He seems to have done well in the General Manager type of role and his experience of the nifty gritty of running a Club would be invaluable.

What he does have is a vast knowledge of the machinations of lower league football structures, the workings of the finances and a thick book of contacts.

Like Chris Turner, talks a lot of sense and always came across as a decent bloke.

There was a clip I heard of him rambling on when he at Chesterfield and they'd selected a player they shouldn't or something. On the whole though I'd take him back in a heartbeat as manager, head of recruitment, chairman and any other position of responsibility at the club as he's a damn sight more competent than the fuckwits claiming to do those jobs.

Was he at the meeting then? If so did he have any input?

He missed it but had a written statement read out declaring his love of club and offering any help needed.

Think it has been postponed as the actual game has. Due to my recent injury I'll have to pass the captain's armband on. Happy to take up a director of sport role instead.

It really doesn't. Turner was absolutely dreadful in his second run. He was the last manager given permission to actually sign players by IOR, and look at the crap he signed. Imagine what we would have ended up with if he'd been in charge this summer.
