If it all goes tittus verticus, as looks increasingly likely and we go into admin or go bust and need to reform at the bottom of the Football league structure, they'd still be our team wouldn't they and we'd still support them?

I will but the chances to get to any games will be severely limited living in the south. Will be a test of the true level of support for a club in the town. Down there momentum will be key. Bound to be good early support and if winning and getting crowds it could be a great period to be a fan but if momentum slows it could be a whole different story altogether.

Yep of course. I replied to someone on Twitter last night the same point. This person was saying it won't be HUFC anymore, my reply is that if it's a team playing in the town representing that community it's still Pools and the rest is just a bloody name for goodness sake

Depends what atmosphere and matchday experience is like. Football at that level is usually a trade off of poor football but a better day out. Remember most of those clubs have always played at that level or thereabouts, some have climbed to that level and are punching above their weight. Given that our support is split at the moment and the atmosphere is toxic, I don't fancy much standing on the terraces watching Leamington or Gainsborough amongst a punch drunk group of supporters in a poisonous atmosphere. This is now why I firmly believe in the absence of a sugar daddy , only a Trust run club can make going to the match again a pleasurable activity , even though I may have to work in some capacity in order to get the game on.

AFC Wimbledon were obviously a high profile and a slightly more complicated case but do people really emphasise that it's AFC Halifax for example. If it's the same fans it's the same club as far as I'm concerned.

I've always maintained that a football club is its supporters and only its supporters. They are the one resource you can't sack, demolish, or sell.
Same supporters, same club. Easy peasy.

It'll be a perfect opportunity to see who really is a 'Poolie till I die'.

I only ever sing 'Poolie 'til I become too elderly, infirm or terminally ill.' Don't want somebody from the Facebook group breaking into the hospice to tell me I'm not a real fan while I'm on my deathbed.

This Poolie till I die stuff is illogical. Do you stop being a poolie or is there a Poolie heaven where for eternity you just keep winning things on the pitch?

I've seen people saying they will stop supporting the club if it has to start again. They would support a club that was owned by criminals, or conmen, or incompetents but would pack in because we had to go through Administration ? How many other clubs have been in Admin ? 20 ? 30 ? Did Leeds fans pack in when they kept getting points taken off and had to drop down a league or two ? Did Pompey fans do it when they had to drop down 3 leagues ? Grow a backbone for Petes Sake !

I've been saying for years I'm not getting another season ticket but I just can't stay away. We don't need fans who would turn their backs on us in the hour of need.

A poolie after life would surely only exist for those would have done wrong in life. Not to the extent of Nonces, they'd have to watch Boro.
