So, here comes Saturday. Win lose or draw, we are promoted and have had a brilliant season. We deserve the silverware, and I cannt think of a better way to start the next season, our centenery season, with the cup in the trophy cabinet. But if we dont, we dont.

Pools have been an intergral part of my footie life since I was 15ish. Prior to that me dad dragged me to Ayrsome Park for the boring boring Borer, and I mean dragged. Then I realised how sh1te they were, went to see Pools and that was that. Some of my best memories are Pools related - from freezing my knackers off on a Tuesday night watching sh1te football but having a right laugh with me mates, to going by myself and merging into the crowd when I didnt really want any company. But always Pools.

To the drunken spliffed away matches that were always ALWAYS an adventure and a laugh. To being scared sh1teless at Hull away - soaked and p1ssed off at Macclesfield in the cup - who was that with the Gibson Out banner? - to bored at Stockport.

To meeting with mates in the Causeway, racing round to park outside me old gaff in Richardson Street and always missing the first 5 minutes.

I cannt come on Saturday for various, crap reasons, but whatever happens - win lose or draw - were promoted, we're Poolies and we should be fecking proud.

Poolie till I die

 clappp  clappp  clappp

If we win the game and don't win the Championship, then everything that could be done HAS been done. Eighty eight points and counting in this league is indeed a remarkable achievement and bodes well for the assault on League One. It'll be a very optimistic summer. clappp clappp clappp

Would quite like to get over and see the Isle of Gigha, after all your posts about it. Our lot are coming up to stay on Arran in the summer....is a day trip feasible from there? I know there's a peninsular between the two, which probably makes things tricky.....

Theres a ferry from Loch Ranza on Arran that comes accross to Kintyre and then a 30minute drive to Tayinloan for the ferry to Gigha. To be fair, the ferry journeys will be a bit pricey - http://www.calmac.co.uk for exhorbitent details - and you wouldnt get that long on Gigha, but.

As of today it is SO fecking hot it is untrue, the beaches look lovely and the pubs open. Life is good - apart from a dull ache in the stomach due to nervous pre Saturday tension. Or the better halfs prawn curry.

Never been to any of the other islands up here - I look out at Islay and Jura every day and have nevr been, too busy in the summer and weathers to Godawful in the winter. Theres a really good place on Arran that has a health spa and all the trimmings - Auchrannie I think - always menat to get over there but havnt made it yet.

And some gadgy has started oat trips around Gigha in a flash catameang(?), that would be worth visiting for.

Off for a dip in the sea - I'm fecking boiling in this office

Aye it looks as though a day trip is a bit optimistic. Back to the drawing board. Where do people sail from if they're going to Gigha direct, then?

Have been to a few Scottish Islands, never for long enough. Every time, I think I don't want to go home.

Anyway, am sure Parmo had got it wrong. Not that sort of oat, parmo, an oat with boars

Picky MacPicky from Picktown!!!

Only boat service to Gigha is from Tayinloan - one the hour, 20 minute crossing.

See you next year then!
