Back in the summer (seems a lifetime ago) it appeared that after Mr 'Unfinished Business' left and Ms Duxbury's took the reins, that a period of calm settled on the club. There was the call for season tickets to be bought and while we knew the club had its problems, things appeared to have taken a turn for the better. A new manager, who once again looked promising and a load of new signings, everything appeared to have settled on an even keel.
People were optimistic, a quick return to League 2 was a possibility, a season to actually look forward to.
Then..... it started to unravel before our eyes during the first match. Actually, we weren't that impressive and the manager began to fill me with doubts every time he 'spoke'! The season seemed to cough and splutter and it just deteriorated to where we are now.
Appearances were deceptive, everything seemed grandly and dandy but.......? Why was the season allowed to stumble on, it made no sense if it was falling apart on the pitch not to change personnel, but nothing happened, why?
it seemed simple enough at the time, we were crap, but you now wonder what pressures were everyone employed at the club under?
It's our club, it never set the world alight, but we'd like it backplease.
