I left backpool away in 2003 after about 70 minutes when we were 4-0 down. Didn’t clap them off. Didn’t sing my cuntz or anything.

Even called Darrell Clarke shit as I walked out. He heard.

Can someone tell me how inviting all of these Sunderland and Boro fans to pay in for the next few games would help in the long run. Isn’t it just throwing money in a big black hole

Educate me

I’m stunned at the sudden urgency to give the current robbing regime more cash to run off with.

People are concerned and are trying to help but they clearly dont quite understand what they are doing. The owners will be loving it as they milk off all of the extra cash.

On the face of it I don't think it's a such bad idea.

Of course suggesting any cash raised on the gate and suggesting season ticket holders pay in to stave off administration is naïve in the extreme but some suggesting it will be doing it from the right place. For me it has two positive potential benefits, firstly it could give the players a much needed boost in a tricky looking fixture and we desperately need points. Secondly it could help show the club in a positive light to any potential buyers and highlight the potential. Any fundraising on the day should be concentrated on if the worst thing happens and I'd split that in two ways. Firstly to Trusts contingency fund, if reports are to be believed if a takeover is not an advanced stage by then we will be five days from administration. Secondly if administration happens half of the proceeds from any bucket rattling could go to help any local businesses in some way that would be seriously out of pocket if that were to happen as going forward we need the local business community onside.

What people fail to realise is the same thing will happen next month, how does it cost 200,000 to run a club in our league for a month?, there has to be loan charges built in or covering up failures on their part to budget.

The most important thing as a business manager is the ability to budget, P&L is the cornerstone of what you do, I wouldn`t give this lot a lego set to build and as for giving them more money pfft!

Rock bottom can also be a great foundation from which to build, Time to Stand.

If he has covered all the bills up to December how do we own a launderette £8,000 and why wouldn’t the bus take us on Saturday? He obviously hasn’t been covering all of the bills. A bit of a contradiction there.

Could we possibly owe the taxman money from Coxalls shambolic reign and have a high monthly payment to them?

The owner has obviously decided to cut his losses and stop throwing good money at bad, for the fans to try and take on that would be a mistake and money which could be very useful in the future wasted. This can only end two ways, we find a wealthy owner fast or we start again.

I think I’ve come to terms with the fact that it’s over. Can’t see any other outcome.
I agree with PJ that one last show of togetherness at the next home game is worthwhile but mainly for symbolic reasons.

Finally I too have reached the point where I can see no ther outcome. The cavalry don't look like charging over the hill in the shape of a new owner to save us.
It's not just us, it's what went before us flushed down the toilet. Dunno what the old fella would be thinking. We never had a distinguished history, but it was our club. It can't die, but it's not very well at all and the outcome is not promising

I'm surprised that once again, well actually im not, that more people arent angry at the owners of our club.

It's great to see people rallying together, im all for that, but more questions need asking once again, just like coxall this time last year, the owners are getting away with it very easily.

I think it will be one last show of togetherness on the 20th but then IMO we will go into administration. That's not me wanting or wishing it, I just think it's the most likely outcome. Pam & Co will have been looking for buyers the second Coxall done one, surely nobody is fickle enough to think that it has only recently been put up for sale just because they put it on the website?

The #SavePoolsDay is a nice idea but I think it's too little too late.

Yeah its a great idea/gesture from that Boro fan.

Though sadly if a sugar Daddy doesnt come forward then it will mean very little in the grand scheme of things.

Agree, if successful all credit should go to that boro fan who came up with it.

A few years ago I got my first Old Git season ticket. £150 for 23 games works out about £6.52 per game.
Sadly ever since I've been watching £6.52 football !!!!

As I have mentioned previously it is clear administration is the only answer.

With little or no assets, our creditors (including the con artists (allegedly) that got us into this mess) will be looking at £0.05 in the pound at best from liquidation, so they will be forced to be realistic on their demands.

Although I would begrudge the likes of Coxhall getting anything at all, a buyer could probably then negotiate lets say £0.10 in the pound and then start again effectively debt free. If any of the interested parties have the wherewithal to take us forward at all, then paying a little more for a 10 point deduction ex administration would probably be preferable to starting again ex liquidation in some Sunday league. That also assumes the the Council will still agree to rent a new club the ground (which would probably be too expensive to run in any case for the first couple of years), so liquidation would be a long painful road back as Darlow have experienced.

Unless a super rich benefactor steps in (with more money than sense) I would also seriously question the business competence of any party that was willing to buy the club from the existing owners pre-administration (even at a knocked down price) as they would still take on all the other liabilities including the legacy of the conmen (allegedly) that went before.

"Rock bottom can also be a great foundation from which to build, Time to Stand." Great phrase monketbutt and hopefully rock bottom is not far away if you know what I mean!

There is no doubt that Coxhall left the club in a very poor condition but the present owners must take a lot of the blame. They appointed an untried manager with the task of getting us back into the football league. They then allowed him to add to the wage bill to what is an unsustainable level. This was a recipe for disaster. I believe Pools can survive but a number of drastic measures must be implemented immediately. There has got to be several redundancies, including the manager. I know this is harsh but it has got to be done. The Supporters can play their part, a bumper gate against Wrexham would show prospective buyers that a successful club would attract good support.
I would be prepared to chip in but not just to bail out the present owners but to help ensure that we have a football club to support. So I am going to make a donation to the Supporters Association became they have a contingency fund already in place.

I would have thought your Supporters Trust is the best home for any donations / fund raising efforts - with a properly constituted set of principals for the fund’s use. Something for the Trust and fans to nail their colours to. You need funds and members to be serious players

I bought some paper plates in the club shop in december and corrected them when they tried to overcharge me by a pound. It's all my fault

What do you call a girl with a pint of beer on her head playing pool ?

Everyone with half a brain knows , it was the decision not to sell chips this season, that signalled the beginning of the end.

Half a fooking season, started with a trumpet fanfare and ended with a damp fart.
By the way, anyone know the cost of damp farts, best find out now as they'll probably be charged to the club debt as well.
