May I just say that our fan's are by far some of the best fan's in the football/non league, to support such a woeful team in the numbers they have (particularly away from home) has been truly impressive, to take 1900 fan's to Gateshead after some of the godawful performances put in by our team lately is unbelievable. Just to put that into perspective it's basically 70% of the attendance of our last home game.
It's comparable to Man Utd taking 54.500 to an away game or Newcastle 38.500 ......I know never going to happen but I reckon we must have one of the highest percentage home to away support averages in football.
Pools fan's take a bow, we either are completely mad, blindly loyal or all need a frontal lobotomy.......just think if we had a half decent team.

If we had a half decent team we,d be taking 4,000. if we where in the top 3 we,d be pulling home crowds over 4,000 but we don,t have a half decent team.

We don't have a team. I once heard an old plane described as 40,000 rivets flying in formation..... Our rivets on the pitch wouldn't know a formation if it hit them in the face.

And just think how amazing it would be if those fans who attend based on how well we're doing supported the team regardless?

How much more income would we have then?

And how less likely would it be that we'd go into financial meltdown? (assuming we weren't being financially mis-managed of course)

Success is not linked with the number of fans you have but fuck me it must make things easier financially and must also give better odds for you to turn things around when you get relegated.

I understand football is a two way street, we pay our hard earned to follow the club and want to be entertained at the very least but it's when the times are hard that we need to get through it and carry on going as this will help the club and the players to hopefully turn it around.....unless the money is being trousered by a 'lovely lovely person' but that's a different discussion.

Read the other day how well accrington have been doing financially over the past year. Yes bloody accrington on their 1300 average gates.
