Ed Law's mighty tome is the champion of all Pools books as long as you don't mind stopping in the 80s. Ideal for me because my knees didn't hurt then.

My claim to fame is that I am on the cover of the Ed Law one from the late 80s. The legendary Micky Fisher is also in the crowd, although he is not eating socks.

Is that you with the flat cap and whiskers? You look knackered for your age. I'm a bit jealous that you're on there though.

Was Katcha's book the one with the grassy knoll style conspiracy theory about the play off final?

Aside from that it was a great read, that bit spoiled it for me, just made us look bitter.

Katchas book was the directory on every single player we had.

The ken hodcroft flat earth conspiracy was in a book produced by pools i think.

The one you are on about might be the one co-written with Nick Loughlin for the centenary. I think Ken might have edited a few bits of that one.

He edited all of his work didnt he?

I've never done facial hair, don't suit it sadly.

Big too grainy to see on here but I'm just to the left of the Hudsons advert board.

They could be all there is to remind future generations of almost a century of league football in the town (if Pam doesn't find a buyer?).
