There are certain clubs who no matter what they do it's difficult to give them any credit, unfortunately Bristol City are deffo one of them......have a large percentage of revolting fan's.

I remember the stewards and police had to form a big fuck off barrier to protect us in the away end for that play off game, fans on the pitch seemed to want blood, not really sure why, zero rivalry between us.

They fall into that category of club fan's I detest, on a par with the Man City's, Cardiff's, Leeds, Sheff Utd's, West Ham's. Burnley's, Hull's and Carlisle's.

No PJ, went to Tranmere the following year, and didn't see any trouble there, even though we knocked them out via penalty shoot out ! I wouldn't have started the thread if I'd known about their fans, I just thought most Poolies were ABU fans.. Come On Man City.....thrash them in the 2 legged semi's !

I watched the match in our local cricket Club last night and I was telling the lads about our experience at Ashton Gate.
Rovers on the other hand have fantastic fans. I was stood with two of them at Cheltenham last season. They had come to support our bid to stay in the league. talk about chalk and cheese. I hope Man City get a dozen.

That play off semi at Ashton Gate was a shocker. I'll never forget the police inspector telling me to stop moaning about "a celebratory" pitch invasion. Obviously his ability to assess evidence in front of his eyes is superior to mine.

Always had a good time at Bristol Rovers, drinks and a laugh with their fans etc. Strange how two sides of the same city can be so different.
