Needed a few scoops last night to get over the result, it’s a new low.

It would be easy for us to get on Harrison’s back and want him gone but the club can’t even afford to sack him so We need to stick together and get behind him!

Otherwise we’re going to find ourselves in a relegation battle yet again, needing the great escape!!

He’s clueless and I would have him gone in a heartbeat, but that is simply not an option for the pools!

I’m not sure where this “can’t afford to sack him” craic started but the club been able to afford sacking countless other managers before him. Sage own the club, they are not potless. If we couldn’t afford to sack him the rumours of him going after an adverse result against Guiseley wouldn’t have been a thing.

Cant afford to sack him? Yet have one of the biggest budgets in this league. Have 29 players on the books, umpteen coaches. We are going to lose around 700 fans from the average gate of 3500 on saturday alone. 700 at 18 quid a pop is a fai bit of dosh. Id say we cant afford not to sack him.

I had a chat with Harrison on Weds night at the Youth Cup game. He said he would be fielding a full strength side, lying git, and I'm not sure Ledger was injured either. He came across as quite meek and someone who is out of his depth, probably being influenced by others. He is out of his depth, this job was too much for him, would of been better taking a job in league below before a job like this, or a club in our league with less expectations, likewise could of assisted a more experienced manager at pools, but no doubt yet again we went for the cheapest option.

Just when you think you have seen the worst manager in pools history, another one comes along.

He has to go. If he stays best result we can hope for at Gateshead is P-P. Hope its called off, give new manager an extra game to get 3 pts. Maidenhead on Satuirday, could this be the meltdown game like Cambridge same time last season?.

Manager, Assistant Manager, coach who does fook all and earns a lot of money, youth manager, youth coach, youth coach, kitman, physio, 2x masseuses, Head of Recruitment (shakes head as I type the words).......we are a Non-League club without a pot to piss in or padding on our arse.

Fooking Masseuses............apparently to give the poor lads a massage before and after training and games because they might get a little stiff and crampy if they don't !!!!! Can't make this shit up. Guess what. It's making no bloody difference.

29 players who are decidedly average at best on the whole (full of serial underperformers as an ex Pools boss described them to me the other day) Think that's the issue not the lactic acid built up in their muscles FFS

No wonder we are skint.

Scatter Harrison, Bates and Jenkins and give the job to Ian McGuckin and Tony Sweeney till the end of the season. Two of the best qualified coaches in the North East, esp Gukky. I bet those 2 with a little help from some friends, would do better than the Management team we have in place.

Can you imagine how much it gee’s up opposition players when they know they are playing against a team that employs TWO masseurs?

First thing any new manager needs to do is get rid of at least 9 players and backroom staff except Gucky and Sweeney, even if only in readiness for next season

1 dont put big money into dodgy land deals in the hope of making a quick buck because look what can happen
2 dont pretend you have a clue about football and managing a football club because look what can happen
3 admit canny lad nice bloke but daft harrsion is no record breaker not the new brian clough and hasnt a clue because look what has happened
4 dont allow this to go on because you and i know what will happen
5 you know the well respected experienced and proven people you rejected for the job only a few months ago so get on the phone now and ask for help and beg forgiveness ...do it now before its too late...please

Gucky released my nephew, he's been training with darlos first team since aged 15 he's now 16 and is the best talent to come from north east in years. Honestly would piss all over any of our first team squad. Absolute flying machine, will be marking tavernier at darlo v boro wednesday night who scored v Sunderland the other week our coaches and scouts know nothing!

Well, they say brevity is the soul of wit. It's a while since I read a laugh-out-loud 4 or 5 paragraphs on here.

I'm not going until Gucky makes Harrison pick my auntie Eileen. She is very nimble for an 82 year old and could piss all over most of our first team. Although I don't think she would.

He’s said in the post, Darlo.

No nepotism involved his Nephew is the greatest talent to come out of the North East since Gazza.

Ah sorry missed that bit. Hope it works out for him, maybe he just wasnt ready at 15 and now has improved?

Some of the best players in the country got rejected as a youngster.

Nice 1 pj comedian!!!
I was just making a point of people saying give mcguckin a chance. ..honestly hasn't a clue.

Maybe I am biased but I like to think I know enough about football to spot a talent when I see one. I love hufc but they've made a big mistake letting him go. I was thinking about our attacking players and who I could compare him to...believe me even at 16 none of them have got his speed or dribbling ability he will go on to bigger and better things soon .

I never said he would. The reason for my keeping him and Sweeney is based on, I don't think its really their fault the club is in a mess, so I would keep them on , for now at least. I wouldn't let Gucky anywhere near the first team, but some people can be effective in other roles, such as working with kids. Maybe that is his forte, only time will tell, but he has to be given a chance to either prove he is up to the job or isn't.

I doubt he’s as good as Jack Blackford and the person who says similar things about him isn’t even a blood relative he just lives near him.

We could have a nepotism off which could get very ugly.

Jack Blackford has been timed and he is officially faster than the wind so this blood relative must shift.

Imagine if we had Blackford on one wing and this released kid on the other?

We would be 20 points clear by now :(

I think Chip's comments a few days back about the youth team hit the nail on the head.

Apart from Luke James, when in the last 10 years have Pools made any serious money by selling on a youth team player? James Brown could have done it but for injury, obviously, but who else?

And which youth team players have Pools released 'without giving them a proper chance' in the last 10 years who have gone on to success at a higher level with another club? Off the top of my head I can't think of any.

All the hype about a big money transfer for Brad Walker came to nothing. Now it's Connor Simpson's turn. Better hope somebody actually makes a bid, because Pools' youth team looks more and more like a vanity project that the club can't afford.

Most of our Youths are cast offs, so why would they be any good?. What I am saying , for the 99th time, is that kids should be given a chance, maybe they will go onto fail, because we never blooded them at the right time. Simpson was given a chance, did ok, even scored , then was binned, unbelievable.

Would any responsible parent let their kid or grandkid go to Pools?. I know I wouldn't.

Jonny Rowell has done alright for himself after Pools, albeit in the Belgian league but still played top flight football over there. Playing in Eindhoven at the minute apparently.

Lets face would a team of committed local lads playing for the shirt do better than the current crop?... I suspect they could

Wouldn't it be easier to just recruit from the best of local non league teams and cut the academy middle men out. Basically what makes the most financial sense.
Oops, forgot we're non league now

He had a trial with Eindhoven in the summer but not signed. Apparently he's still a free agent at the minute - now there's a thought!

We could but only if the scouting has improved since Fenwick and the other non league striker we got. We didn't do too badly with Baldwin mind but it's arguable whether he came from a local team.

I doubt Harrison has even seen Jack play, just Bates opinion, which I'm sure is as welcome as a jobby in your coffee.
