If we score early, we'll put four or five past them.

In all probability we'll play tippy tappy, Cassidy will get sent off and Harrison will score an own goal. Ho Ho Ho and bah humbug.............another Christmas ruined...........

I will be there with the lad (5) ...

... we'd better win 3-0.

There will be 2962 others, some of them from Maidenhead.

Cassidy will get 2 and Oates.

In times past I would have waited until later in the week before posting a prediction in order to see which players may be available. However that is sadly not applicable with this squad as it doesn’t matter who pulls on the shirt they are not fit to wear it.
So, yet another defeat, doubtless the first of 3 agaist the ‘heeds as the rudderless ship that is HUFC careers ever closer to oblivion under Captain Insensible. Trying to be positive we will manage a goal however! 1-2 Deverdics free kick, attendance barely over 2k at best.

If Pools cannot win a home game against a part-time outfit then there is no hope!

Pools 2-0 winners, 2675 gate with 27 away supporters.

Can't see us getting anything out of this game specially after the 1 nil defeat against Workington so confidence is obviously going to be down and out.

2-0 Maidenhead 2879 (85) From there.

We scrape a 1-0 win. But it is the start of a 17 match unbeaten run. W13 D4 F28 A9. Unbelievable Jeff.

Harrison wont need a get out of jail card not until Jan 2nd at least - the owners won’t be dismissing anyone over the Christmas period - fact.

Pools 4 Maidenhead Utd 0. A repeat of FC Halifax which is OK on the day but for the wider picture just glosses things over and solves nothing. Crowd 1,991 (21)

It’s hard to make predictions when you aren’t seeing games so my predictions are gauged solely from the general mood across all of the forums.

Pools 0 Maidenhead 9 (NINE) crowd 0 (NOBODY WATCHING THAT SHITE)

Harrison will wear an Armani suit while sporting his new dapper hair cut, which means we'll win every game until the end of the season.

Could have predicted exactly what would happen as soon as S Harrison had to come on. Team is clueless and too many players that are simply far too poor, manager clearly has no idea how to turn a game around other than try throwing strikers on and hope for the best.

The club could save itself some money by getting shot of Harrison and Jenkins. Let Sweeney and other coaches run the team. May as well get shot of the academy too, we aren’t exactly using it for the benefit of the first team or the club as a whole!

More of the same old, same old. Harrison will still be there because no one in charge appears to be too bothered about results on the field. I get the impression we've been written off and it's just a matter of time, so why change anything.

I Can hear the FAT lady singing.........just turn the lights out, the misery is never ending, it is truly desperate on and off the pitch.....not sure how much more I can stomach. What started as a new beginning this season, I never saw this coming.

Lack of ability I can cope with, lack of desire is unforgivable. We gave up today against a team of fat part timers. Their striker who tore Donnelly apart in the 2nd half must have been about 18 stone.

Absolutely fucking abysmal.

Seriously, why do people still turn up? The players don't, the owner has given up and I don't think anything else needs to be said of the manager.

Any cash paid into the club is just helping to reduce the owners debt, it's no longer helping the club.

Scott Harrison must have a voodoo doll the way he always seems to get game time. Laing is bad enough on his own, but when those two get together in the centre of defence you just know the goals are coming.

Still, it's not just down to them two. There was a spell in the first half when we made Maidenhead look like a fat pub team, but yet again good chances were missed when 1-0 up and by now all Pools' opponents must know by now that if they bide their time they'll get given the game on a plate.

When hotbeds of football such as Maidenhead can produce teams of part timers that can beat us home and away, it really is time to wind the club down and start afresh as AFC Hartlepool (as did AFC Wimbledon in 2002). Most of the current players wouldn't be out of place on Grayfields Enclosure anyway!

Selling Loach in January to pay the wages will only put off the inevitable.

Fair point there. Yes errors cost us at the back (I would include Loach in that too - from where I was I don’t know how he couldn’t keep hold of th initial effort).

But again we had enough chances to get a second. The body language. Of the team said it all though after we conceded - even they seem to have that feeling of an air of inevitability when we concede.

It can’t be easy in respects with everything else going on, but then at the same time would it not be more beneficial for them busting a gut to help them stay as full-time pros either here or elsewhere

I feel like I have watched that exact same game about 10 times already his season. Dominate a first half and take a 1-0 lead. Concede and equaliser and fall apart.

The tactics are just baffling, bring on Connor Simpson and play everything through the middle and have Rodney and Oates as our widest players. We desperately needed width and quality balls into the box with Simpson on the pitch.

How Rodney get paid money to play football is beyond me, when he made a run and just stopped when played in was just atrocious.
