I don’t care much for that there Premier League, but a quick look at it just now had me noticing that I’ve seen Pools play league matches against 11 of the cnts. Which is over half. And we are pissing about in the non bastad league getting arse drilled at Dover. Fuck all of them, I’m sure they’d be happy to swap places with us to escape from all of that corporate bullshit.

My mate is a Brighton fan, and has been since the early 70s. He seems to be enjoying the Premier League, though I do get your point.

I always wonder where their new fans come from and how long they'd hang around for if times got hard.

Does it matter? They chose not to cling on to the last remnants of hope like us idiots, yet we criticise them for doing so.

Football should be enjoyed, if you're not enjoying it why pay to watch it? More and more of our fans seem to be taking that view including some whose loyalty really can't be questioned.

You can always resign from being an idiot and walk away, no one's stopping you.

I'm happy being an idiot.... and you know you are, any fool can chase success . It takes something special to illogicaly support a team out of the 'top flight'.

But my point is people go to football to be entertained, why judge them for choosing to be different to you. Why do fans have to be loyal? Clubs are rarely loyal to fans, players rarely loyal to clubs.

Take that to its logical conclusion and people wouldn't have a team, they'd just check to see the best match and turn up, bit like going to the cinema.
We'd end up with a Premiership of half a dozen teams performing on telly, because obviously you'd never get in the stadium.
If you want to chase 'entertainment', go for it, but I think you're missing the point here.
Incidentally, why are you bothering going to Pools....?

I was speaking hypothetically, we've already established I'm an idiot hence why I go to Pools.

There will always been those who remain loyal to their clubs and those who choose to drive from London to Manchester for home games, it's their prerogative and I've never understood arguments to the contrary. I've attended Premiership games purely for entertainment with no allegiance to either team and I'm not ashamed to admit I enjoyed one or two more than I have any Pools game in the last decade.

I got tickets to see the man city v arsenal cup semi final last year off a mate. I went and really enjoyed the day. no harm in that. I've also went to Pools and enjoyed the day.

I'm not 'judging' anyone. I just have a different opinion. I can't change anything, but I can have a different viewpoint. You don't have to sell the concept to me because I'm not interested in that aspect.
I simply enjoy going to Pools..... sometimes, but that's me.
