Fookin weather is rank. If game is called off it will be waterlogged rather than frozen surface. You forget how miserable the weather is in this country at this time of the year.

Good to see they've had the pools way instilled into them from an early age!
Only joking they've done fantastically well getting as far as they did, wonder how the two club's youth budgets compare.

They had 5 players who would make our first team, no 10 was outstanding, 9 was excellent, 2 was awesome, 11 quick feet and cocky and 8 a work horse.

Left after 60 mins. Good nite , first time I had been in Centenary Lounge. Great to meet up with an old marra from off here for a few beers beforehand. Thought their no 7 with blond hair was quality. Simpson was isolated but did a few things well. Spoke to Craig Harrison at half time, he assured me he is going to play a full strength team at Workington, sorry if I hurt your neck Craig, but you will thank me for it later.

He said he liked the sound of my 3-6-1 formation, as used successfully by the USA in the World Cup in 1994.

Enjoyed it last night, Liverpool were a different class and we could barely get near them. The little blond lad in the middle, no 10 and the striker that got a hattrick ran the show. That Rhian Brewster was there as well but obviously never played, seen him signing autographs etc at the end.

Perhaps slightly inappropriate that our tunnel is emblazed with "Sponsored by The Sun" down both sides of it...

The use of the tunnel was inappropriate full stop. Why was it needed? There were loads of kids who wanted autographs off of one of their heroes and Pools stewards were seemingly intent on stopping them. They pulled the tunnel past kids who had waited 20 mins down the front with sticker books and shirts for Gerrard to sign. Then got ST Johns people to hold and tie the tunnel in place with string. Then the 2 fatties decided to flank Gerrard leaving the pitch, presumably so he wasn't harmed by any of the 8 year old autograph seekers. Thankfully Gerrard signed plenty of autographs before he went down the tunnel much to the chagrin of the 2 stewards. It begs the question why are Pools going to such length to protect someone from another club from signing autographs and taking selfies?

Have to agree it was completely pointless using the tunnel. I noticed as soon as the full time whistle went 2 stewards went straight over to Gerrard and I think wanted to escort him straight down the tunnel which was bizarre. He obviously didn't and spent time signing autographs and photos etc..

Connor Simpson started out on the left wing which was strange, seen a few comments about his performance last night but the kid is only 17 and had a handful of games in 1st team.. not to mention he was playing against Liverpool last night.
