I hope by Monday. the man hasn,t a clue. Munns was getting nothing second half, Magnay was shagged and understandibly. After 20 minutes of the second half he should have replaced Munns and Magnay with Ledger and Rodney or Adeloye, a bit more pace up front and strength. Cassidy was also ineffective. All we did was sit further and further back to protect a 1-0 lead FFS! Right now and at the end of the game my piss was boiling we are at home and we do all this! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! :angry-screaming:

Play offs....not a cat in hells chance. :angry-tappingfoot:

He’s still not appeared to speak to the press and all of the players have gone.

No chance, he has too much spin, it must be part of the Managers getting their Coaching Badges, they all come out with the same spiel.
TBH I would like too see Hignett back, he never stood a chance with the previous owners.

Surely the club were professional enough to insist on an affordable compensation package before the contract was signed?

Why did we bring him here in the 1st place, did very well in the Welsh League with TNS, but then again so could my Aunty Agnes....
Cheap option, but he might do well.

Agreed fella, lets bring in Aunty Agnes. I've always maintained that Harrison should never have been appointed in the first place - it was a gamble taken after Harrison doubtless talked himself into the Pools job as the clubs owners (by their own admission) possess about as much footballing knowledge as good old Aunty Agnes - but what did anyone realistically expect? Looking back, that fluke win at the hapless Guiseley effectively fucked us up for the season as another defeat at that stage would surely have seen Harrison chased back to Welsh Wales.

Completly agree with chip on this one the club simply cannot afford to get rid off him and "if" they would who would they get in to replace him? In my opinion it doesn't matter what manager we have the club has been on a slippery slope for a fair few years now and I can see us lingering in this division for a fair few years but hey that's just my opinion.

Harrison blaming the players! FFS

" Craig Harrison admitted Hartlepool United's players "did not do their jobs" as they gave away three vital points against Macclesfield."

That's the tipping point for me. His eyes and that of his coaches must see a different reality to the rest of us. Some players were running on empty, he needs to take an objective approach to what's actually happening on the pitch, not his focused (ignore the evidence of your own eyes approach) mono vision of events.
No more jobber jabber techno bollocks please, forget the grand visions and boasts, get the basics right, get back on track or get out.

They were doing what he wanted....for 85 minutes.

Then Deverdics and Oates just switched off. The manager should have made subs, but the players shouldn't have switched off either.

I am fast losing patience with him, every football cliché in the book, he is so inarticulate its unreal he makes Gary Bennett sound like Brain of Britain.

I haven't heard the Harrison interview - and if it's 11 minutes I don't want to!

It's poor if he hasn't even entertained the possibility that he could have affected the closing stages of the game from the bench. Then again, I'm reminded that management always looks easier from the stands.

Pools dropped 2 points at home back in October when Sutton grabbed an injury time equaliser. Harrison made 3 substitutions in the last 16 minutes, taking off 3 attack minded players (Rodney, Oates and Woods) and replacing them with Adams, Simpson and George. We finished the game defending around our own penalty area - to be fair, it had been heading that way for some time - and still conceded even with the extra defensive cover on.

Just saying.

So he's named and shamed players in the dressing room that he felt responsible for the goals. Bet that went down well! Not only are fans turning against him but I suspect the players won't be far behind.

football is not rocket science as some would have us believe
coaches
they will use stats poor decision making
when they cant make a decision themselves

oh and of course bad officials

but they never get it wrong do they
well how can they when they follow the fa handbook

i think i fancy a snowball fight
nearly forgot about that
part of the training session i believe

if you blame players and continue to blame the players
without taking some responsibility yourself

you will lower morale and not get it back

Unfortunately, the club are still paying for staff that have also lost their jobs. They must stand by the decision and everyone needs to try and get behind him. Unless, we think we can afford another manager on payroll for doing nothing. How long was the contract? 3/4 years?

We have a manager who is still learning from his mistakes. He has a good track record of success but in the second half of the season it’s competition time proper and it’s only then we will see properly if he has the X factor.

We should build a management dream team of staff we are still paying that have been sacked.

Collins? Jones? Jones assistant? Hignett?

Poor management !

how to throw 3 points away with out really trying. disgrace trying to hang on to a 1 nil with fresh legs on the bench. the thing was macclesfield looked very average to say the least and the result should have been harrison 1 macclesfield 2.

Harrison going down the well worn path trodden by last few managers. Starts off praising the players, then protecting them, then blaming them. then completely loses the plot , coming out with all sorts of waffle , you'd expect from someone by then who is stressed and or clinically depressed. Think of Moore, Coopers and Hignett. Come February a new victim will be in place, and so it goes on.

If they are still on the payroll i would have them doing something productive for sure. Club can not afford to pay people for nothing, its plain crazy

Being locked in the dressing room for 2 hours after the game n hammered from the gaffer doesnt tend to go down too well with players these days, especially when you've flogged your guts out for 70 minutes, and then he lets you down when you need him to make changes n earn his money.

If players are only flogging their guts out for 70 minutes then they want sacking on the spot.

You know what i mean, some of them needed taking off as they were blowing out their behind, the players returning from injury and the likes of munns who hasnt played a lot recently.

Ideally you want players who can last 90 minutes, but if someone runs them self into the ground they need bringing off earlier, thats football.

thats a bigger problem than like of substitutions. a second goal would have finished em.

Their first goal is down to Deverdics not tracking back with the fella he loses the header to on the touchline. Instead he follows the ball towards their no.8, who is already covered by Harrison.

It's very poor from Dev but he isn't really a full back, is he? Adams was signed for that position and would be playing there if he was better in possession.

The head tennis for the second goal is just rank bad defending by our big lads. I still think Harrison should have got his subs on, but the goals are down to crap defending.

Maybe if he'd got his subs on earlier the bad defending might not have arisen.....?
