ex pools keeper jonny maxter had an absolute blinder at accrington last night. plenty of top class saver plus two penalty saves in the shootout. saved two penalties at the weekend also. never saw the guy play before last night so wonder if it was a one off or the one that got away.

Don't think he ever got a first team match but his bench-warming and general availability were exceptional. One that got away in my book.

I've got a signed shirt of his, I'm open to offers to £5,000 and above.

I may induct him into the Ian Thomas Moore hall of fame.

Hasn't made it in football until he turns out for Scunthorpe Reserves IMHO.

Times must be tough at the Mac household to accept such a knock-down price.

I insist on starting the bidding at £8,000. We're all friends here Mr Mac.

I always felt secure when I saw a teamsheet with him in goal and David Atkinson in defence.

With Tom Craddock up front.

Would that be the Ian Thomas Moore Hall of Fame located at Jacksons Landing, by any chance?

We were relegated the season after Ian left.
