Can anyone recommend anywhere for kids to play footy, preferably indoor this time of year. Not too bothered about coaching just want somewhere for a 7 year old to play with similar aged kids for fun.

The big sands at Middleton. Used to go there with my Dad all year round!
The sand is flat, clean and has a huge concrete wall to kick the ball against.

When you get board you can bag some seacoal too!

I'd have to supply the other kids though, I can play with him anytime. I was hoping for a sports club type thing.

You'll need an FA approved tide table.
Imagine it ....
"Dad are we going to play footy?"

" Hang about, I'll just check the shipping forecast, ...are we Tyne or Dogger love?..... right, just get me tide table, flares, life jackets. That's it, off we go".

Brian Honour's session at the domes on a Friday is really good. 6-10 year olds 5.30-6.30pm costs £3

Might give that a go, assumed he'd stopped as his website doesn't work.
