Just having a read through the latest minutes, one point which I like is in regards to somebody coming in with £20m and they would have to engage with fans first. I think this is completely the right way of doing things, fans should be involved. It doesn't matter how much money somebody has we need fans on board, we've had our fingers burnt in the past with Coxall.

Community run is the best and only option for me.

We've had coxall and the tmh people over the last couple of years, trying to get there hands on a club to bleed it dry, look where that got us.

Great stuff from Pam and John, good that we have two people running the show who are so in support of the Trust.

Shows what a great job those on the Trust board have done and should all continue to do imo.

I keep reading silly comments like "oh so if a millionaire came and wanted to buy the club pam would not sell it to them unless the fans were on the board"

THIS ISNT A SCENARIO THATS GOING TO HAPPEN!!

We got lucky with ior, we hit the jackpot, then coxall and tmh proved the type of "businessmen" that are interested in this club.

Why wouldnt fans want fans to have a say and ensure we spend money well, live within our means, make improvements fans wanted.

Its absolutely mental.

And this "fan ownership will only get you so far"

Will it?

Swansea got far, Exeter, Newport and AFC wimbledon have got further than us!

Isn't Barcelona, technically speaking, fan owned?

I've just heard Pam has told Bill Gates to fuck off as he wanted to buy the club without fan involvement.

Under Coxhall you have to remember that there were no such people and we simply had to make do with Gary. Yet as soon as Pam says the Trust will be involved, they are praying for these multi millionaires on our door step to buy us

Pam and Garys stance that new owners have to have the fans on board shows they have the best interests of the club at heart.

Shame others dont.

Lets face it Chip, the only people who are opposed to it are really opposed to the fact that they didn't start it and a big dollop of jealousy. There is nothing more than that because no logic can back an argument against fans being intrinsically involved in the ownership and control of a football club.

There's nothing remotely technical about it. The club is fan owned full stop.
And so is Real Madrid.
In the Bundesliga, a single entity is not allowed to own a majority in a club.

I like the German model and think it should implemented here, especially at lower levels, it would keep the Gary Coxalls and Peter Harris away from clubs like ours.

Most of the German way of doing things should be implemented here, and I'm not talking just about football.

This with bells on, I also get the feeling it's linked to people who were pally with Russ Green and felt like they had a privileged inside track in those days

That sounds fair enough.

Surely these people will accept the offer.
