Driving past earlier I noticed a busy car park even though I'd read it wasn't reopening until September 11th, anyway they have quietly done it a week early to ease themselves in a bit but it's the best pub meal I've ever had in Hartlepool. Excellent menu and absolutely lovely scran. Very well appointed as well they have done a good job with the revamp. It's going to do very well.

You don't think he's leaving do you? They have the interwebby in The Congo so I'm sure PJ will never leave The Bunker

I'm not 100% certain who I know who Yloop is in real life but I will also miss him greatly.

Did you pass me and say alright in the Millhouse Pub the other week?

If that was you, and we have that bond the tears will be flowing.

I don't think I can even go now. I mean the farewells to friends and family have been really tough. But that slightly awkward 'alright' as you were going for a piss, man it gets me 'there.'

I'm touching my heart when I say 'there' for the record.

I'm now doing that thing that women do on reality TV when they flap their hands about in front of their faces.

You need to say ohmygodohmygodohmygod over and over as you do it, too.

I also saw you in the Tall Ships once, you were wearing sandals.

I have never knowingly owned sandals. I do have some flip flops that have a sandal look. They will be coming with me I'm afraid* as they proven to be great servants on warm days over the years.

*I think, I have had zero involvement in our packing our life up and have no idea what I own anymore. I was recently looking for a pair of trainers to be told that they have been sold for £2 to Asian chap at Sedgefield Car Boot Sale.

I'm playing it.

I never saw Yloop that day in the Tallships though as say, I wasn't 100% sure who he was on Saturday or the week before. So I am also playing alarm bells.

Cheers everyone, I'll still be here talking shite though
Seen as I'm moving abroad I might even turn completely mental claiming to rate players I've never seen, on that basis I'll be offering absurd team selections with players completely out of position. Liam Donnelly on the left wing anyone? Also when you suggest these things are wrong I'm going to go properly off on one leave and the board in right mardy strop and join the other one. I will blame Chip Fireball.

When I get to the stage when I am properly batshit crazy I will start blaming the fans who still live in the UK for the clubs failures, I will suggest it was the fans who drove the chancer chairman with not a pot to piss in away with your negativity. I will then claim I have seen everything streamed through a friends hat.

That's my vague plan anyway.

I can't wait to get rid of the argumentative twat but I wish you all the best, PJ.
Your mission now is to convert as many as you can to Poolieism as I have been doing for the past 39 years.

Where are you actually going PJ? Wherever it is, good luck. Moving abroad isn't always easy but with the right sandals it can be very rewarding.

That's good to know  I will be popping in the Raby soon to check it out. I stumbled on the Castle Eden Inn in a similar way a few Sundays back, they were having a dummy run sort of trial day, and wasn't officially open , but it was open sort of thing.

Good luck with whatever you are doing PJ.

9 people have told me today they heard PJ was making air filters for football cups for all the World! That's why he's moving to Ecuador.

The Bishop, your statement isn't valid unless you specify where those 9 people came up to you and told you this news (the street, Throston bookies, self service tills in Asda?)

Went for lunch today, not at all bad, service a bit chaotic but mostly new staff so you can understand it, real chips were good and place looks good.

Had a walk to Hart today and checked out the Raby. Not much changed other than décor and a bit of a tidy up, it had started to look a bit tired in the couple of years leading up to it closing. Full of people stuffing their faces, which makes it a bit uncomfortable for a lone drinker imo. Had a couple of pints, Strongarm below average and Jennings Cumberland above average, £3.50 a pint which is a bit steep. People running the place seemed friendly enough and keen to make a go of it. Lets hope they do.
