Good game, that was his catchphrase, unlike Pools.

Remember watching him present Sunday Night at the London Palladium when I was a nipper and it was the last word in variety shows.

Good game, good innings, well done Brucie.

Very talented performer. Reminds me of the times when the television was half decent on a Saturday night.

For some reason, I utterly despised him. Can't quite put my finger on why.

RIP all the same Bruce

RIP Sir Brucie, didn't you do well! Great innings, great family entertainer.

I agree about Bruce he was from a generation of very talented versatile entertainers and we do have some dross on TV due to the amount of it that's churned out I reckon the best TV that is ever being made is happening right now and has over the last ten years, it's just how people watch it and how they watch it has evolved. People watch box sets when they have the time to do so, people are busier, gone are the days of 18 million watching the Generation Game on a Saturday night. That variety stuff was of its time.

If my grandad was still alive he'd be dancing a jig. Absolutely loathed him. Along with lots of other light entertainers, particularly Barrymore.

The only male presenters he really had time for were Fred Dibnah and Ray Mears. And that Australian croc botherer.

There will never be another entertainer like Brucie, last of a generation, a true genius.

All that singing and dancing that he did made me cringe like fook, crooning and all that shit. Not for me.

For some reason it's reminded me of that barf-off with Chris De Burgh and that bespeckled cheese monster from Stars in Their Eyes. Fuck me. (Yes I know that wasn't Mr Forsyth)

I liked him on Play Your Cards Right though. Loved that :)
