Both nicky and podge seem to be the last 2 who could realistically leave the club now and probably be on top wages.
I think if podge was leaving he would have went by now given his goal scoring record which leaves nicky and looking at how many midfielders we have the writing may be on the wall.
I for one would like to see nicky stay how ever if it frees up some money i wouldnt mind signing Smith and Mondal.
Certainly mondal looks a cracking good prospect for what ive seen so far of him, pools should not miss out on this young lad if we can afford to sign him.

I very much doubt Featherstone is on good wages. We picked him
Up from Harrogate or somewhere didn't we?

Just seen this. Posted on Sky Sports at half twelve.

"Swindon and Exeter could be ready to go to battle over Hartlepool midfielder Nicky Featherstone. The 28-year-old has a year left to run on his contract at Victoria Park, but the League Two clubs are hopeful of prising him away.

Featherstone, who began his career at Hull, played 46 times for Pools last season and was one of their better performers as they lost their Football League status.

He was linked with a move to Bury last January and is back on David Flitcroft's radar, this time at Swindon, while Paul Tisdale is also taking a look".

Only problem with fetherstone is Harrison won't have seen him play yet so may not sanction a sale until then

I'd be a bit sad if Nicky goes. I reckon with George in the middle with him, his style of play will be allowed to be appreciated. Just allowing him to keep things ticking over and getting the ball to the front men is harder than it sounds and he often makes it look easy. He's a classy footballer and probably still the best we've got in midfield - of course, I doubt we can really say no to the money at this stage.

I think the writing is on the wall for him and his Pools future we've signed George, the lad from Cambridge who's name escapes me, Donaldson and Munns who all play or can play centre midfield that's already adding to Woods, Featherstone, Hawkins and young Hawkes. It stands to reason that at least one of those will leave the club before the end of August.

Forest Green is quite a good fit for him, he's a vegan type of player. Neat and tidy does all the technical posh stuff well but no meat or even dairy products in his game. I bet they sign players who don't tackle as they can't stand the sight of blood.

Squad number 4 again - you can never have too many midfielders (right backs is so BPC*)

If a decision had to be made between keeping Hawkins or keeping Featherstone, then Featherstone is the obvious choice and if squad numbers are anything to go by, then it looks like Featherstone is the most likely to be staying.

Given the financial state of the finances if anyone offers anything like half decent money he will be gone. As said so many times on discussions about him I accept his capabilities but for a professional footballer I always want a bit more from him, it will be interesting to see how his replacement performs.

That's the problem I've been saying it all along, the financial state of the finances.

What will happen later in the season if the financial state of the finances becomes financially financed? :confusion-confused:
