Well tomorrow the lads return to what looks a very different pools to the one that ended last season.
I am surprised with the turnaround even with the players cos i believe the players who have left the club would have left anyway no matter if we had stayed up.
So look at the players brought in and i dont think we would have got much better even if we had stayed in the league.
Ahead of us i hope is some really good high scoring home games and some interesting away days and probably more coverage on BT sport if we are the team to beat.
Overall i for one is looking forward to the season ok its not the football league but its still pools and fingers crossed we can enjoy a good season for a change.

I'm looking forward to a change too. As long as we're not propping the league up as we have been for far too long I'll be satisfied, realistically I believe top half to play off should be the minimum aim though.
It's far to early to judge the new signings though, not sure if any of them have even been spotted on the self serves yet or if their wags have been rated. I'm sure Craig Harrison won't of dished out any long term deals for players with munter wives.

I always have the feeling if you sign free transfers you will get about fifty per cent success. Although you hope for the best you have to be realistic.

Could be a season of transition, mid table and stop the rot of the last few seasons. Most of the players signed are a bit of a gamble, which is usually the case in the lower leagues, no doubt some will be better than expected , some worse.

Agree with misterb2001. An experienced centre half or even midfielder is required, a leader who will play at least 40 games. I really do think a player of this kind, could be the difference between a play off push or treading water around or below mid table.

The club has been on a care and maintenance basis for years. Just for once I'm actually looking forward to a season. I don't know what's going to happen and hope some people don't have ridiculous expectations.
It's a change, it's football and maybe what we needed.
Even the gates are getting a coat of paint!

I too am looking forward to it for once, I have faith in our manager and his signings give me optimism. Lets face it we deserve a hassle free season. The club is being run on a whole new level and Pam looks like she will not be letting us drift aimlessly so if things start looking sour she will address the issues. Long may it last.

Sounds like we've had a very lucky escape with Pam. It has ended a lot worse than relegation for other teams after being run/ruined by Clueless Coxall types.

At least we have signed some players , that means we can at least compete in this division, at one point it was looking like we could be in a relegation battle again. Still hoping between now and the start we can bring one or two more in and get rid of 2 or 3 of the deadwood still around.
