I'll put me head above the parapet, I'll be voting Labour. Oh and as for Brexit, I got that wrong, technically I got it right the slight majority didn't!

On an aside there is a BNP candidate standing in the Metropolis!!! I thought the Neanderthals were extinct?

15 years in teaching.

Never seen it this bad.

We can't afford books for yhe kids to work in. Had 3 years of redundancies and face more (we have taken more kids for the last 2 years and still face staff cuts).

If you have a son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild etc with learning difficulties and need support, good luck. Teaching assistants are the first to be hit.

Really not sure how well get through 5 more years of Tory rule. I expect parents will be buying books and equipment for the kids and having and whip round to put the heating on.

This campaign has been so personalised , I reckon a lot of first time voters will be looking at the ballot paper and wondering where the hell Corbyn's name is. I bet a lot don't even know who their local candidate is, its unreal.

According to the news. Theresa May has ended her election campaign early, due to running out of LIES

I'm working in a polling station tomorrow but it'll be hard pushed for there to be more first time voters than in the eu referendum. There were so many people saying it was there first time they'd voted but most of them were 40+, the oldest who told me was a 60 odd year old bloke.

57% for labour. Somehow I don't see that happening nationally.

Wonder if it happens locally

OK POINT OF ORDER.

I assume the person that voted for the Green party is from out of town.

It was going to be difficult to put an X in that box in Hartlepool.

And three of you should be ashamed.

Well we got very close again.

When the bunker speaks........it's usually right.

Nearly 5000 voted UKIP though. That's pretty shameful. And the turnout was one of the loweSt in the UK. So is that.

OK. I dont realy think I need to spell this out, but as you seem to be making a point here goes:

I asked people who they were voting for. Most of us vote in Hartlepool'

Our poll showed:

Conservative 34%
Labour 57%
Lib Dems 4%
UKIP 4%
Green 1%

The result in Hartlepool was:
Conservative 34.2%
Labour 52.5%
Liberal Democrat 1.8%
UKIP 11.5%

What is your definition of close?

A bit worrying over here in the Metropolis. Helen Goodman must of thought she was toast when it was announced the Tory candidate had 20,306 votes (last election circa 13,000). However 20,808 (last election circa 16,500) just pipped the Tories. A worrying trend of late for a Labour stronghold, as since Derek Foster retired the gap seems to be getting smaller and smaller. Will the Metropolis be seen as a marginal from now on?
