Not a surprise good luck to the lad just hope we got a good fee.
When is all this bad news going to end, the club keeps on saying buy your season ticket how ever for me surely you must provide some good news for commitment.
Just seems like we have gone back to ken hodcroft ok this pam has given a couple of sound bites of how to minimize the damage we are in how ever she is not giving any up dates on progress or has she gagged the Manager.

Someone posted this last week and a fee of 20k was mentioned. I hope a zero was missing off the end of that

Motherwell get worse crowds than us so I doubt it's a decent fee.

That's 6 players gone for fees now, 3 players stalling on contract offers and not so much as a Taffy McTaffface from TNS signed since the season ended.

Fook a fecking duck.

Can 2017 get any worse? You bet!

Do we actually have a goalie on the books at the club now?

Totally gutted, but can understand from his point of view. He'll probably be the top keeper in the SPL next season.

He' was the best we'd had since Kevin Poole was on loan, many years ago, and no I haven't forgot about Dimi!

Well as it stands this current squad is the worst ever.
We got a nice new pitch tho!

Yes, young Ryan Catterick, given a first pro deal in March. Sure Monkeybutt and a few others will have seen him play.

The only very slight consolation about Carson is he did seem to be quite injury prone in the 2 seasons he had at Pools.

I really don't get this 'we wanted him to stay' routine. He was under contract ffs. HUFC grow a pair and make the players you want to stay that are under contract remain at the club. He would hardly have furthered his international career by downing tools would he. Players that got us in this mess should be told that they are not god's gifts and the reason that we are in the Vanutopia is because they messed up last season.

Carson deserves a move to be fair but he may end up with a bad back playing against Celtic.

It's very possible and quite likely that the likes of him and Allessandra had relegation release clauses in the contracts they signed. The fact it appears we have offered Carson a different contract adds further weight to that theory.

What is absolutely essential now is recruitment.

What is absolutely worrying is we haven't signed one player yet and potential signings will see the squad being dismantled, manager turn around and financial concerns and think twice.

Cutting down the wage bill, helps with the monthly outgoings.
That means the loan interest payments can be met more easily now.

It would be easier if this loan was offered interest free.
How can a chairman lend the club a lot of money, charge interest, take a wage and decimate the football club!
Because that is what has happened!

Amond will be next......

Looks good on a spreadsheet doesn't it Pam, reducing the costs!

I think we are in a worse position than York were this time last season and look what happened to them.

For Pam to have any credibility, and any hope of getting more season ticket sales, she needs to put a piece on the OS saying how powerless she has been to retain players due to the contracts that were offered by Coxhall et al. I can understand Thomas having a release fee when he signed his new contract, but do all players have release clauses? She needs to give some good news before those that have bought season tickets go round asking for their money back.

Well in Carsons case they have clearly stated that every effort was made to keep him. I'm not sure what else can be said in a statement?

I am very surprised by the posts on here.....surely it was obvious to everyone that the quality in our squad was going to leave if we went down? In my opinion there is very likely to be a good few more leave.

The new manager has come in very late and is tasked with bringing in, pretty much, an entirely new first team 11 on, I would imagine, a very limited budget....I think the budget would be better if we had a bit of financial stability going forward (ie someone who can pump a small amount of cash in as and when required rather than borrowing it from finance companies). I say the manager has come in very late because many, many deals have already been done. A lot will've been agreed in principal before the end of the season.

It's fair to say he really has a job on his hands, which is why I wanted us to bring in someone with knowledge and contacts. I'm more than happy to give the bloke a chance (now I'm calm lol :) ), who knows what he's doing in the background? Could have players lined up himself, I hope he has.

On the up side, if he brings in new players, which he simply must and will do, they hopefully won't have the losing mentality the current squad has. It's not good to have a squad who are used to losing so it is probably a positive that there will be a mass clearout.

We're also only in June and some targets will be on their jollies or whatever so all is not lost.....hopefully :)

Well its hardly a surprise hes gone ,he wants to play for Ireland and he will have a better chance of that at Motherwell. The main thing that would concern me is how much these players are leaving for, if we only got 20k for carson then thats a joke. We still have two months til the season starts so i wouldnt panic just yet, got to wait and see what happens!.

What other professional clubs don't have any professional goalkeepers, left backs or left wingers, absolute joke or some sick tactics for next season

Thankfully its the one position that is generally the easiest to fill. I would go for someone mid/late 30s, willing to combine it with a bit of coaching. In hindsight we should of got a Goalkeeper Manager, would of saved money. LOL !

Why? I can't see us bringing in 2 of each which should be the bare minimum for a professional squad

We'll see where we are in a couple of months obviously a lot is going on behind the scenes. Hopefully we start bringing in players as soon as possible but it's fairly normal for a team that goes out of the League to have a very high turnover of players as many simply don't want to drop out of the League. Cheltenham a few years ago changed almost an entire squad and came straight back. I'm disappointed we have lost Carson but from his point of view it's totally understandable, at least we tried to keep him and have seemingly offered him more money.

We need at least 9 RB's to meet the league quota.

Arran Lee-Barrett is available on a free... only 33 years old.

Even poor keepers most people say about them 'he's a good shot stopper'

Lee-Barrett wasn't even a good shot stopper. I heard he carried about a business card in his wallet advertising his goalkeeping wares with the line 'if it's on target... it's in!' on.
