The Old Bloke I know played in bands when he was younger around the North East, anyway one day he was being a session guitarist, and a local band came into the studio to record a record. Their guitarist had problems so borrowed my old mates guitar. The song became "famous". Is my old mates guitar worth more because it was played on the actual recording of "The House of the Rising Sun"? Reckons he has provenance too. Reckons he wouldn't sell as he loan't it to a mate, and the Guitar means more to him. I reckon if he sold it he could really enjoy his retirement! He likes travelling abroad and seeing things.

How do you prove it was the actual guitar used? I'm only going on what I've seen on crappy american pawn shop shows and the like but if you can find the right collector/enthusiast it will be worth more. Don't get his hopes up though, that particular market is much more niche than say a signed Tom Craddock shirt

I agree Mr Crab, but my Old Pal reckons he has provenance to prove it. Also he has a signed Mellish shirt, which I reckon won't make much cos everyone has em!
