He was the best in the world at that point. Absolutely unplayable. You'll never see teams like that in the league cup again mind.

I've met a few people who reckon calling Cox 'Flapper' was a bit unfair but no way was he ever the best in the world.

Pools must of had 75% of possession that night, but were getting nowhere, Spurs were just sitting back and toying with us, deciding when to go forward and score as and when. Doubt we would of scored had we still been playing now.
