Today I had the pleasure of helping Lee Dodgson, a fellow Poolie, as he continues on his Journey running from Lands End to John O'Groats. Lee set off from Lands End 14 days ago, looking to run 827 miles in total, he's currently approaching Perth in Scotland as he edges ever closer to his destination.

Running with him today gave me an insight into the struggles he is facing daily, both mental and physical. He's battling several injuries but is in surprisingly good sprits.....but the only thing that is keeping it that way is knowing that he is raising money for Alice House (Hartlepool Hospice), he is well on his way to his target of £40k but every donation is a massive morale boost.

Please if you can, donate and share this post. I've never met anyone with the mental strength this lad has and if we can all shot in just a couple of quid, he is sure to smash his target. Image

Thanks mate, he's hoping to break £30k this weekend. Only about £500 off.

We put a few quid in during the week, absolutely increbible what he's doing and it's amazing after what happened with John all the people who have turned up to help him, Hartlepool at its finest clappp

Has anyone heard about the scouse bloke who is currently running around America? I'm not even sure if it's for charity I think he's just a bit mad. He's doing the run from Forest Gump (which was obviously fictional and completely impossible in real life) over 15,000 miles will take about 18 months. Then he's going to get to exact point in the road in the middle of nowhere when Tom Hanks said 'I'm tired now I'm going home' He's over 7,000 miles in now, offit.
