on the OS:
Chief Executive Pam Duxbury provides a further update on the Club's search for a new First Team Manager.
As promised, I wanted to provide an update on the work that is going on behind the scenes as we look to appoint a new First Team Manager.

This appointment is so crucial for the future of the Football Club and it is therefore important that we take the appropriate time to ensure we get it right.

We have received many applications for the role as you would expect and, after speaking to the LMA, we also formally advertised, which has helped draw even more interest.

We have had a panel of people working on the shortlist and we anticipate carrying out final interviews in the early part of next week with an announcement to follow as soon as possible.

Once we have the right man in place, we will quickly move forward with our recruitment plans because it is essential to build a squad that fans can be proud of and one that can help us bounce back in to the EFL at the earliest opportunity.

Work on the pitch and the new Club Crest are among many projects that had been in the pipeline months before the end of the season and we have to keep going because it’s important that we strive to improve off the pitch as well as on it. It is business as usual.

Gary was 'talking' to us.
The proof of the pudding etc, etc.......
It sounds ok, but I'll wait till something a bit more concrete materialises. I've had more than enough promises over the past few years. I need the goods producing .

It tells me they haven't got a clue what they really want. Advertising on The LMA has unearthed quantity over quality of recycled football managers as trailed on the Mail all this week. Some ambition of how much money will/can be invested in players is what matters and a manager who can make silk out of a monkey's ear without assistants and directors of football

I think it's a very positive statement actually.

It's shows for one that they aren't just appointing the easiest/cheapest option and know how vital next year is to bounce back. I know talk of is cheap after all that's happened but Pam at least appears to know how to conduct things in a more professional manner than previous fucking toss pot.

Spot on PJ. I just worry about her lack of football knowledge. It would of been nice to know who made up this panel, don't see any harm in that. Lets hope she is professional, cos that's what the club needs. Lets get away from this bargain bucket mentality , everything done on the cheap.

Maybe Coxall disagrees with the others over who is appointed so its a 50/50 stalemate. I do hope that all candidates have declared any associations with any of the shareholders so we don't get another conflict of interest.

Given our present predicament I assume you're indulging in ironic satire?
