Funny old day, in many ways like reluctantly going to a dear friends funeral or viewing the laid out body, though technically still alive.
But that's how it feels.
I toyed with not going, but that wasn't on, it has to be faced. Trouble is, there isn't even the hope of a fresh start next season if the team turns into legends for a day. The assortment of undertakers and debt collectors are standing guard ready to load their wagons and ride off into the sunset, not so much carers of the club, more carers of their 'assets'.
It's going to be a funny and unpredictable few hours and all we've got left is our dignity and pride and we'll do our bit and a bit more ...... and just for one day, we may possibly feel good, who knows, but whatever the outcome, Pools have been the other woman in my life for a long time and our relationship will carry on regardless. She deserves a lot better. We hung about together for the joy, frustration and odd tear and could never work out the attraction, but it worked.
Here's hoping...I was gonna say 'In God we trust'.... Now it's a case of 'God we need a Trust'!

Funny nights sleep too and dreamt about the game. We just took the lead 3-2 and FlashScores showed up that Newport had gone 3-2 down. We ended up winning 4-2 but flashscores had got it wrong and it's was actually Newport who had gone 3-2 up

I'm hoping it is a dream, but it's went on for a bit now.
