Sad to hear the news of the death of Stan aged 91yrs. He was probably the best known referee in local football in the 50s and 60s. He seemed to live on the Rec and was always smiling and giving quick witted remarks during games goodness knows how many times he said to me "that was rubbish son"
RIP Stan.
