In the highly unlikely event we manage to beat Donny next week, there's no way Newport won't beat Notts County. But I'll have to endure another fuooking week of slight hope. Was all ready to have a good drink tonight and getting it all out of my system but I guess it's going to have to wait.

Different pressure for Newport now being out of the bottom two, they aren't a good side you never know. Football is full of twists. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't win, us on the other hand!

We all know it's unlikely, and part of me was feeling relief today when it looked like we were down (officially) as it felt like we were being put out of our misery.

But we will just have to get behind them and see if it can trigger a miracle

I was thinking exactly the same way. Its so unbearable and the knowledge, relief of knowing we were down I was going to process it too.

Wonder if Coxall has the balls to show his face next week?

People seem to have missed out the angry phase

Doesn't anyone want 5 minutes alone with you know who and a baseball bat?

These owners have had it far too easy.

Imagine how bad it would be but for the detectives.

I haven't been to a single away game and less than half the home games yet I feel more angry than fucker on here.

And yet this has been on the cards since January.

I'd imagine when...and it is WHEN...we get relegated next week, there'll be a fair few lads on the pitch...

Orient did it today.

Too little too late.

Like I said ages ago we kicked a bigger fuss over Martin Scott.

Maybe it mattered more back then.

Scotty came after our most successful period I guess so we were not helplessly battered into submission over a 4-5 year period.

With this shower in charge we can forget promotion I'm thinking more York.

Losing Football League status has been a drawn out , excruciating experience since relegation from League One. We have finished 19th, 22nd and 16th(miracle!) in the three previous seasons so finishing 23rd this season should come as no surprise to anyone but the most optimistic fan(atic). The owners and management are a disgrace whereas the supporters have remained loyal throughout a miserable four years and deserve much better.
Unfortunately a return to FL2 could take many years (if ever) with the current set up at HUFC. York City have been relegated from the National League so the strength of next season's opposition must not be underestimated. It will require a big team strengthening exercise to achieve respectability in the National League! Ironically it will take more to achieve promotion than it would have taken to retain a FL2 spot.

Since dropping out of Div1 it's been one long drawn out deathbed scene. There's no fight in us because over several years we've all been worn down by the monotonous Groundhog Day scenarios we've endured.
If we slip beneath the waves on Saturday I'll be interested to see the reaction and our dear chairman might as well ride out of town on the horse he came in on.
Next season? Let's me see who's in charge of the club to see if we stand a cat in hells chance of doing anything.Under this lot it feels like the film Misery and we're being held captive.

If we somehow win 1-0 next week and Newport draw....we'll stay up on goals scored.....unless Newport draw 5-5.

Wonder what the odds of that are?

I know a couple of lads who follow Conference clubs and they said it's rock hard to win the league. It's stating the pretty obvious of course but as if to prove the point...for Tranmere to amass 95 points and not win the league must be heartbreaking.

My mate works for Notts County and reckons they are playing really well at the moment so its not a foregone conclusion that Newport will get anything out of the game. If you beat Donny then you may save your arses again!

Couldn't see us beating Doncaster Ladies they way we are playing. Pretty much nailed on we are going down. We had 3 winnable games Orient, Barnet and Cheltenham and could barely muster a shot on target.
