How about the guy at accrington? Does it year in year out on a shoestring. Would he leave them for us?

The whole lot need turfing out. From whoever is pulling Coxalls strings down to the players. Everyone of them has failed this season. We dont expect much from them, honest financial management, win a few games, give us a couple of decent away days, maybe a little cup run and 50 or so points at the end of it. That with signs that we had something to build on for next season was all I expected but the whole lot of them let us down on every count. None of them deserve another chance.

Hopefully at the very least his body guard has resigned

As I type this I have just heard his voice on the TalkSPORT news saying the decision to sack Jones has nothing to do with Jeffs rant.

So Coxall is going to be on national radio spouting his bullshit but doesnt see the need to first address the fans, the ones who have paid his wages for two years. Pretty much sums up his piss taking attitude toward us.

Of the playing staff I would keep Oates and Richardson. I like Fryer but he wont sign. No more.

BBC Tees reckons ex Grimsby manager March Bignott has expressed an interest. Would prefer someone with a genuine passion for the club.

What does that even mean?

We need a manager who can get the best from limited resources.

A passion from managing within a budget. Getting players fit. We never look as fit as the opposition.

2 names mentioned in an article by the Mail that interested me...Neil Aspin who has a great record in non league, currently at Gateshead and Craig Harrison who is ex Boro, from around this way and has broken records left right and centre with TNS in the Welsh league.

These are the types we should be looking at I reckon

Aspin's last involvement with us didn't end on good terms.

The whole next manager thing is to some extent irrelevant while the off-field situation is as it currently is IMO. We have joint owners officially, one of whom has walked and one of whom seems to be clinging on by his fingernails, while someone representing the owner of our debts (ie Pam Duxbury) appears to be calling the shots. If Sage are going to effectively become the owners, what are their intentions - it doesn't have to be terrible, after all compared to some of their owners the Sterling Consortium weren't too bad for Darlo, but they need to have a sound business plan for what they're about... if their intention is to run things on a shoestring, it would need one heck of a manager to do much, and they're not easy to attract and usually quickly go onto bigger and better things; if they decide to invest a little in order to look to sell a couple of years down the line, we might stand a chance of attracting someone with some experience and reputation. Currently we're a basket case on and off the pitch, why would Aspin or Harrison come to us when they're probably better off where they are and have more chance of damaging their reputation than making it?

Didn't it? Are you sure you aren't think of Agnew who was Scott's assistant currently doing a great job at Boro!

I also thought Aspins spell came to a bad end but can't remember why exactly.

He signed a short term contract on from Darlo and played a few games at the end of one season. I don't remember any bad blood?

He had a run in with some of our fans at an away game, can't remember who, by run in he was told to fuck off back to Darlo or he'd get his head kicked in or something to that effect.

Aspin played 10 league games for us and was never on losing side, so cant think when that could of been, we must of had bigger expectations in those days

He wasn't playing, he was doing warm ups with some of the subs at half time, someone called him over.

May have been Southend, god knows to be honest, memory ain't what it used to be!
