For what its worth, I think people have a misconception of the focus of the trust. We have formed the trust for the interest of ALL and that's a collective all of the fans of Hartlepool United Football Club. Not the current owners, not previous owners nor future owners. The primary focus of the trust is to sustain a legacy of Hartlepool United Football Club FANS. As our mission statement says:

The aim of the trust is to be a truly representative supporter’s organisation offering much more to the football club than merely a physical presence at games and vocal support to the team.

Basically saying we are there for all fans of the club.

There is no hidden agenda for one or all of the board to take control of the club, none what so ever. We are solely there to represent the fans of the club.

So despite any misconception anyone has, that is the sole purpose of the trust.

Now we are looking to meet with the club to ask the odd question regarding the future and sustainability of the club for our supporters. NOT future owners or backers. All we want to know is that OUR club will be operational for the next 2, 5, 10 or even 100 years for the benefit of our children and grandchildren.

We do not want to know the ins and outs of the financial state of the club, just a reassurance that our club is in safe hands.

We also want to forge a relationship with the club, to help the club move forward and recover the lost trust the supporters once had.

I am personally getting sick of all of the childish swipes between our supporters. We all need to grow up, and UNITE together for the future of Hartlepool United Football Club and its fans.

Rant over

I was halfway through a similar post, checked the forum and saw yours, good stuff Blue, if you have been reading FB and HUFC1908, you will by now realise we have a tough road ahead and some will always want to go their own way or do nowt but moan.

I feel quite sad that grown men cannot come together for the greater good sadx

Not read Facebook as I deleted my account about 6 years ago due to the shi7 that goes on there.

But posted a similar post on HUFC1908 board.

May not be as tough as we think. Message boards apportion approx. 3% of fans. If we average 3500 fans that's only 950 using message boards. That's over 2000 fans we need to attract.

And in keeping with that I've had emails in the last 48 hours from the following trusts offering support:

Leyton Orient
Exeter City
Newcastle United
Wycombe Wanderers

The vast majority of Pools fans will pull together. Those that don't, won't.

To have a meaningful mandate, Supporters a Direct reckon a Trust needs 10% of your average attendance...we are well on the way to having that, very nearly there in fact.
