I've had a poorly (or should that be a poorlie) cough for over a week now, and over the last couple of days a sore throat, which in turn has now turned to a hoarse voice. Went to see my Doctor and he has diagnosed Acute Laryngitis. His recommendations were rest your voice for a week, and, because he knows I'm a Poolie, told me it would be best for me not to go to the match on Saturday. What am I to do. banghead

BP, why didn't you ask earlier and why bother going to a GP?
Go to your local health shop and buy a bottle of Echinacea. While you're there buy some homeopathic phosphorus tablets. Take both as per instructions.
Oh, and next time start taking the echinacea as soon as the symptoms begin.
