Him and Porter together were as good a partnership as you'll ever see in the football league.

Great days. We were jolly green giants walking the Earth. With guns!

Remember the match very well Phil, one of my all time favourite Pools matches. Battering Sheffield Wednesday in a league match and then surviving a lengthy aqua-planing incident on the A19 on the way home. Don't think I've ever been happier after a night match than that. If I hadn't seen such riches I could live with being poor.

I love that article/piece. Boydy for that 30 months or so between coming back from Boston and knacking his knee against a yeovil was just quite simply divine as a player. I genuinely was excited about turning up each week to see what he would do next, the fact that in that pomp time Joel was his sidekick when on his own Joel is one of the best we've ever had says it all. Amazing times and memories

The most exciting times for me. A never again partnership, Jones though wouldn't play Joel and Boydy he is too thick.

Adam Boyd's rise showed what a good man manager Neale Cooper was. His demise showed what a terrible manager, in every way, Martin Scott was.
Did it all really happen? Going to The Vic in anticipation of being entertained? A team that seemed to enjoy playing, with team spirit and leaders all across the pitch? A team that switched from defence to attack in 3 or 4 passes not 34, and I mean passes not aimless hoofs? A team about which no other teams supporters could say "okay, it's only Hartlepool" as was said on the Leyton Orient board on Monday?

You got to pass it five yards backwards sideways with no real purpose it's called ball retention anyone who cannot see the benefits knows nothing about football. I'm the best I believe in 4-3-3 which really is 5-4-1 but don't tell the non believers. We are the elite

I don't remember inviting you into the elite. Must be another Pools admin error.
