The League One and Two Clubs from the EFL Board met yesterday. Radio 5 Live said in advance they were going to decide the fate of the Tinpot Trophy, but - surprise, surprise- lovely Shaun Harvey says it was only a consultation exercise and the real decision will be made by the full EFL Board in May:

So Championship clubs now get a say in the future of the competition based on the involvement of a few of their U-23 sides this year?

If the league one and league two clubs had any balls they would withdraw from the pointless thing.

But they wont, and neither will most play very understrength sides.

And many foolish supporters still go and help give the impression its going well.

And for me, the supporters are the main ones to blame.

so by this time letters will be sent to clubs with the usual inducements to save harveys face and nothing much will be changed. if so i hope there are even less watching the crap next season. those who did go need to hang their head in shame.
