'Clinch'.... are they serious? They play in a league where it's like Barcelona playing in the Sunday League.
Why not just send them the title in August and save us the bother of even pretending this has any credibility. It would also save the fuel and time wasted travelling to games to perpetuate this farce.

i know and they hand out plaudits like they have beaten Barcelona Real Madrid Bayern Munich and Chelsea en route to winning it.

Not helped by the fact I cannot bear Brendan Rodgers.

To use the popular cliche, you can only beat what is in front of you, seems very apt in this case, as Celtic did. Most SPL Premier league players are at best average championship/good L1 players in England. TBF if I pulled my old boots out I could still make a living playing in that League.

It will be a relief to all that they've finally clinched the title it was getting a bit nervy up there.

Just think Ross County a middle of the league side signed Franks and Holden last season. Two free transfers from Pools, and Rangers signed two from Accrington.

With Rangers still skint in comparison to Celtic, the one horse race that is the Scottish Premier League isn't going to get competitive any time soon.

The only way to even things up is for Celtic to be forced to appoint Lee Clark as manager for the next 5 years.

It's like a Grand Prix where Celtic are driving an F1 car and the rest are driving Lada's or a milk float with a flat battery. Pointless.

From 1891 until 2017.
Rangers won it 54
Celtic 48
Others 19.
So in nearly 140 years the Scottish title has only been outside of the big two nineteen times.
This year is no exception, and so it will go on. It's thirty four years since neither Rangers or Celtic won it (Dundee United in 1983).

I'd always assumed the last non Old Firm winners would have been Aberdeen when Ferguson was manager, I thought they won it a few times in the 80's.

Aye you're right, Aberdeen won it in the two seasons following Dundee Utd. Memory's going, I thought the Dons won it the two years before, but it was after.

83, 84 and 85 were the only three years in succession when an old firm team didn't win it.

TBF Scottish Football became uncompetetive when the Third Lanark Rifle Volunteers stopped playing in the English FA Cup!

Must have bet before they got Rodgers as manager and a few players who've played in the premiership.

It's never going too change, £21 million TV rights for the Scottish Clubs, £5 billion for the Premier League and let's be honest around 6 half decent teams in the top of the English league who struggle to compete in Europe along with another 6 mediocre teams below them and the rest just there too make the numbers up, Premier League the best in the world my a*** !
All I can say there are loads of mugs out there shelling out a £100 a month plus too watch s**** !
