Sorry guys and gals (sorry..no reference to him). I know we all care about Pools first and foremost. But forget that for the moment as if you have had pain and the painkillers have kicked in to give you relief. The National League. If you have a choice of who you want to come up to play us next season (hopefully) who would it be? My own chance is Tranmere Rovers (personal) but I see Lincoln City would be popular and they put The Daggers to the sword tonight 2-0. Eco might be good and I support it but Forest Green Rovers in the league? Please not. Would love to see Barrow make it back but unlikely. Saw them at Aldershot in 1972 when they lost their place to Hereford United who at the time denied they were gunning for Pools (re-election days) younger fans. It's frightening seeing how many ex football league teams have gone down to the now National league and beyond (Stockport, Bradford PA to name two. And whatever happened to Scarborough and Boston U? Enough, your thoughts please.

Can I suggest that whoever makes it to the top of the league, no matter who they are, deserve to be there whether anyone likes them or not. If a relative minnow beats the relatively big time Charlie's of the league, tough.

Tranmere for me because, along with Brighton, Sheff Utd and Luton, I have an acca on them all to get promoted at 200/1.

Lincoln have made a lot of money this season and getting crowds of over 6000 so watch out for them next season. May well go straight through the league worth a bet.

Lincoln. Close to me for an away day and I'm sure we'd take a few which always makes away days better
