Last I heard he was an energy assessor, or something along those lines.

That's brilliant. At his best, Boydy always looked like an expert at conserving energy - the Poolie Dimitar Berbatov.

In fact a quick google brings this up.

Last page shows Boydy as the assessor, good on him.

That's Effion and Boyd earning a living away from footy in and around the town. Any others from that era? Last I heard Graeme Lee and Tinks were youth coaches at Boro and Barron was a PE teacher.

Boydy loves the cinema on a Saturday morning for the kids films. With his kids of course. £2.50 in you can't fall off

Thanks for the updates, seems a shame he is no longer involved in footie. Like so many one of my all time favourite players.

One my eldest's teddies is called Borthwick, in his honour. He also has Tunks, Doigy, and Godwin.

I thought it was funny until he started nursery, and the lasses kept asking how to pronounce their names and why they were called that. Their pitying looks cut straight to the bone.

Could have been worse if you'd named him borthwick rather than the teddy.

Got a dog called Big Steve which amused me when he was a puppy. Now that he's grown up having a dog that won't run, drinks expensive vodka and is a complete waste of space doesn't seem funny.
