Have a go and be honest. See where you calculate we'll end up.

I'm afraid that I've got us 2nd bottom on 42 points.

I think we'll survive just purely down to Orient and Newport being worse however if this cowboy is still running the club next season then it'll only be one outcome

I got us finishing third bottom. Orient went above us but Notts County dropped like a stone to join Newport. I did put down a couple of away draws that are probably just wishful thinking.

I got us finishing on 47 points but that had us 4th bottom.
That doesnt seem realistic to me.

There havent been many seaosn where 47 points doesnt get relegated. Surely?

I had us on 46, Notts County were on 42 and Newport were even worse. I'm not convinced that those two and Orient will do that badly though. There are nearly always a few unexpected results with struggling sides picking up points against teams that are safe.

our last 3 seasons in League One and the season when we were relegated from League One in 2012/13, i.e. the last 4 seasons of League Two bottom positions:

2015/16:

16 Hartlepool Utd 46 15 6 25 49 72 −23 51
17 Notts County 46 14 9 23 54 83 −29 51
18 Stevenage 46 11 15 20 52 67 −15 48
19 Yeovil Town 46 11 15 20 43 59 −16 48
20 Crawley Town 46 13 8 25 45 78 −33 47
21 Morecambe 46 12 10 24 69 91 −22 46
22 Newport Count 46 10 13 23 43 64 −21 43
23 Dagenham & R 46 8 10 28 46 81 −35 34 Relegation to the National League
24 York City (R) 46 7 13 26 51 87 −36 34

2014/15:

22 Hartlepool United 46 12 9 25 39 70 −31 45
23 Cheltenham Town (R)46 9 14 23 40 67 −27 41 Relegation to the National League
24 Tranmere Rovers (R) 46 9 12 25 45 67 −22 39

2013/14
19 Hartlepool United 46 14 11 21 50 56 −6 53
20 AFC Wimbledon 46 14 14 18 49 57 −8 53
21 Northampton Town 46 13 14 19 42 57 −15 53
22 Wycombe Wanderers46 12 14 20 46 54 −8 50
23 Bristol Rovers (R) 46 12 14 20 43 54 −11 50 Relegation to the Conference Premier
24 Torquay United (R) 46 12 9 25 42 66 −24 45

2012/13:

21 Plymouth Argyle 46 13 13 20 46 55 −9 52
22 Dagenham & Redbrid46 13 12 21 55 62 −7 51
23 Barnet (R) 46 13 12 21 47 59 −12 51 Relegation to the Conference Premier
24 Aldershot Town (R) 46 11 15 20 42 60 −18 48

Looking at the table at the moment for League Two, 45 points may be enough again to finish 3rd bottom.
Although I would like Pools to aim for around 50 points just to be on the safe side.

One of whom could always be Pools. No buts. The others are also struggling for a reason.
