There was about 15 people in the queue when I rolled down at about 9:40 this morning.

Cushty.

Just sweating down here as I am leaving it to mates to get my tickets and meet me at Dale, it is terrible when you are not in charge of your destiny all sorts of possible problems raise their head.

Sure there is something else I can worry about now.

While the queue my not be really long, it doesn't need to be, don't forget it's not one ticket per person, if you've got 10 pairs of stubs you can have 10 tickets.

Just been told by a mate who works for the Press that 2k have gone already, I find that pretty astonishing, did not think there would be that many people with 2 stubs to get the numbers up today.

I have 2 stubs but am donanting one to a mate who is driving me up from Cheltenham to the game and then to Pools afterwards, so I may loose out because of this arrangement.

Ah well we wont win anyway and if we do we will loose 6 points because of Boston !

Chip. If memory serves me correctly when tickets are for unreserved seating, ie you are not allocated a seat, the capacity of the stand is reduced by 10% on health and safety grounds.

Reason for that yet again Is Greater Manchester Police had a say on our ticket allocation

Chip, can we forget about the numbers, as what's done is done. We just have to adapt to the sitiuation and let's hope that those who want to go can go.
If we sell our allocation great, if we don't .... we don't, it won't spoil my day. NOW LET'S JUST CONCENTRATE ON GETTING 3 LOVELY POINTS.

Disagree Chip.

I slagged the club off quite heavily when they announced the ticketing arrangements for Saturday but I am yet to come across anyone who has had problems and we've shifted a helluva lot of tickets

No-one has seemed to queued for longer than half an hour which is a fine achievement considering we have shifted 2000 tickets in 3 days.

The Accrington stub malarky was the only cock up to date but I don't expect anyone to lose out too heavily there because most will have collected their stub from County so therefore will have pickings from the 900 remaining at least.

When demand exceeds supply, you are always going to upset some people and sadly it will probably be exiles with no stubs without family/friends in the town but given that there is always going to be some people who lose out.

I don't think the ticketing arrangements will stop people from travelling and if having to take a stub down to the ground and queue for an hour is a problem for them, they can't really have been that bothered about going in the first place.

Chip I've been trying to make this point for days!!! But I keep getting shot down as well!!!! Yes I've got the tickets for everyone who is going on the train(when I bought the tickets WEEKS AGO)!!! - BUT it is very sad that there's no way of being able to prove the number of away games attended to HUFC, and they SHOULD be taking this into account.

As an exile who struggled for numerous tickets on numerous occasions in the last few years, the bigger picture says you can't cater for the individual when you have to cater for thousands. There's a different solution every time but there'll always be someone's nose out of joint.

Although I struggled at times, notably Cardiff,I always managed to get a ticket somehow. It's just the bugggeration factor.

Tell you what though lads, you can have mine and Dawlish's tickets on this occasion....

you might feel differently though if you lived in london, or bristol, or birmingham or leeds tax payer. these folk need to book trains and in some cases time off work, and they are unlikely to do that on the off chance that they might get a ticket but wont know until the day before the game.

i certainly wouldnt be wanting to travel from cornwall or london or scotland on the off chance that a ticket i booked on the phone should be at the ground for me to collect when i have nothing in writing to prove i bought it.

why should someone who went along to the notts county game, but hasnt been to an away game all season, get preference for rochdale over someone like my brother and dave who were at barnet and wycombe and a dozen other away games ?

exiles cant exactly pop along to the ground as you suggest. that doesnt mean to say they " are not that bothered anyway. "

the game should never have been all ticket in the first place given the ground capacity. if plod wanted it all ticket then they should have said so 3 weeks ago.

rochdale should have been able to supply pools with tickets last week. and it should have been season ticket holders monday, stubs tuesday and everyone else wednesday onwards.

thats just my opinion. and its my final word on the subject.
Chip, I see where you're coming from as regards exiles and I did indeed go apeshit when I saw the arrangements, but given the late arrangements which for a change had nowt to do with the club, it's went quite well, sadly the whole problem is down to the said late notification. i can't see a practical way round the problem.

My ticket arrived this morning despite being only a one stub holder. It seems that a little common sense has been applied and the club have got tickets out asap to postal applications. So its good news for us exiles. Once the club knew they were not selling out to the 2 stub elite it was a sensible decision to process the 1 stub applications.

It also means that the tickets sold cover season ticket, 2 stub and 1 stub postal applications leaving 900 tickets for today's queue and tomorrow's general sale. I guess we will end up quite close to a sell out clappp clappp

Tickets have been aquired, and at not long after 9 he was told there were around 900 left, which is 100 more than what were left after yesterday. strange indeed.

Thanks to the good people of the Bunker – Part P and Tax Paying Poollie to mention but two - plus a couple of season ticket holders in town, this happy exile has managed to get his tickets for Dale.

Thanks also to Pools & Gtr Manchester Police for making a simple exercise more difficult than it needed to be. Although the police probably feel justified making it all-ticket having seen the level of demand from Pools.

Having only been to about 12-15 games this season, and only two of them at home, I am probably seen as one of the hated glory-hunters. But when I lived in the town I never missed a game and sat through plenty of dross in sub-1500 crowds to earn my stripes. But, no I wont be at the home games against Orient or Cheltenham on a wet Tuesday night next season. But I will be at the away games, whatever the day and whatever the weather.

Now just need Pools to deliver them safely to Rochdale…

Best exercise I've had since the walk to Brentford. 15 minute walk to find the street, then 20 minutes to find the house right at the other end!!! See you Saturday!
