I like Big Bang Theory.
Father Ted and Inbetweeners were funny too.

The inbetweeners, Blackadder, the young Ones, Citizen Smith, The Office, Im Alan Partridge.

The best US sitcom without a doubt Silicon Valley.

In no particular order,
Father Ted
Fawlty Towers
Blackadder the Third
Blackadder Two
Phoenix Nights
The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin

I would love to see a sitcom where James Corden gets disembowelled with a rusty garden rake, now that would be funny, straight to the top of the list.

always liked James Cordon, until he sold his soul and them we buy any car adverts.

Now I hope he gets crushed by one of the bastad cars.

As for sit coms the classics have been mentioned, but can I add The Royle Family, Early Doors and Married with Children?

I'll give it a watch tonight. Early Doors is one of my all time favourites, so simple but brilliant.

Absolutely. Galton and Simpson, Corbett and Bramble. Top drawer.
But too long ago for most people I imagine.

(Did someone really put On the Buses and Love thy Neighbour?)

It's a toss up between Citizen Khan or Miranda.

One of the founding fathers of situation comedy and half of best comedy writers ever, imho has passed away, a good innings, but still very sad

Is there really a Citizen Khan or is that a typo for Carmen Miranda?
Talking of Citizens, Citizen Smith was harmless enough fun.

Phoenix Nights was a work of genius in my eyes.

Flight of the Conchords also worth a mention.
