Have something gone straight over my head there why's that been locked!? Was Butt subliminally mocking the blind or something?

Re-read the thread PJ. I'm not a Mod or owt, so my following remarks are mine and have nothing to do with the Board. My presumption is, there was nothing wrong with your post, but other posters may jump on the anti Monkeybutt bandwagon (after his initial post) and the thread could derail , into a thread not mentioning Frank Lampard!!!

Why? If you are going to lock threads everytime monkeybutt makes a slightly rarfish comment you might as well just lock the whole board or ban him again.

It seems a bit over the top to me.

I don't like all of the heaven pointing God is great shite either but Lampard does it for his Mam, like Alastair Cook does a little nod to his mate when he scores a hundred for England.

I felt his heaven pointing reference was a tad harsh considering it's for his mother who passed away

And the thread would only make him look even worse on a week where he hasn't covered himself in glory

He needs to stop digging.

He's a Manchester United fan it's how they go on about players who play for Chelsea and Liverpool. It is one of the more odious aspects of top flight football these days.

Adrian Durham was saying on the radio the other week that during the recent Chelsea v Peterborough game at Stamford Bridge the home fans spent the entire game singing about Gerrard slipping over. Very strange.

May I suggest starting a new thread where Lampards pro/cons on a footballing context can be discussed, or am I being Radical (I have had 2 pints earlier BTW)?

That Brighton midfielder who lost a parent does my tits in tbh. Fair enough point to the sky. He did that.

Then he got a picture of her framed and ran over to the dug out to collect it.

Then he got her face printed on loads of t shirts for the lads on the bench to show when he scored?

I simply cant watch Brighton matches or highlights anymore.

Frank was a quality cm. scored over 300 goals. He was 7/10 for England. He was an average cm when he was younger who will admit that himself. He worked hard to improve his game and he's a great example of dedication and how you can improve.

He seems a canny guy aswell.

I can't see why anyone on the planet would hate him.

He was a top footballer and a model pro (apart from that video of him bucking a lass with Keiran Dyer and Rio Ferdinand)

monkeybutts unsuccessful spell as a bevereavement councillor ended within in a week because saying 'I understand you being a bit upset right the funerals done now so let's forget about it and move on look at this bread I have just bought' was considered innaoropiate.

I think he's a twat for the heaven pointing thing. A dead mother is a personal thing and frankly, no one else gives a shit either way apart from the individual and their friends and family.

Does he talk about it like? It is a personal thing to him he doesn't ask the Shed End to join in its just little nod to his Mam. If anyone questioned me for doing my that I would physically attack them. Only a twat would get worked up about something so trivial.

Concurring. If that annoys you then it probably says more about you than him.

No one criticised Shearer for pointing to the sky when he scored.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lampard's agent told him to continue doing it to help with brand Lampard. Certain high profile player's silhouettes are recognisable and used as logos and I think most would associate Lampard's celebration with him just as they recognise Ronaldo standing like a prick or Shearer running with his finger raised.
Surely there's more important things to argue about on the bunker, this is after all where world issues are settled.

Pointing to heaven is a bit presumptive though isn't it, I mean she may or may not have pissed the big fella off so she might be down there with the Kaffir, just saying, like

It's a bit over elaborate pulling out a pitch fork and start to dig at the pitch, you are probably looking at a yellow every time you score and some seriously pissed off groundsmen.

As neither actually exist as I say it's probably not worth getting too worked up about.

Surprised there is so much debate. Anything more than a firm handshake and brisk trot back to your own half is out of order. Unless you get a hat trick in which case you can puff out your chest, bristle your moustache or give the fans a cheeky wink(only one or the other though).
