..I hadn't realised that they weren't nailed on for Promotion? Just noticed they've even dropped out of the Play-off places. Wonder what's gone on there in the last few weeks?

Dont think they can go up anyway Phil. From what I know the tiny ground doesn't meet the criteria for the next level.

Loid at work reckons their ground is ok for next level and only needs minimal work for FL standard. Dunno if this is true or just his wishful thinking.

They can get promotion, they would get a certain amount of time to increase capacity etc. It already holds 3000. Not sure how though, makes pools look like a 20000 capacity. They have fallen away recently because they started playing the bigger teams in the league. Still only one place out of the play offs though.

Using the authorities own guidelines our current capacity is 3200. However if we get over 2500 viewing down the sides and open end is crap unless you are against the fence.
We have planning granted to take this to 5000 but it will need proper terracing down the sides and open end to make it anything like this, falt standing just isnt suitable.
Hit a bad run of form since just before Xmas. The Blackwell pitch is shocking and their groundsman isnt really arsed about football. We are doing well to be in contention anyway, we dont have the budget of most of the teams around us and we dont have any ex Man Utd footballers spunking money at us either. Fucking plastic club that is. Its the equivalent of Reynolds building a 25000 seat stadium for a league 2 / division 4 club.

Yes he missed the new years day game, we haven't had a fixture planned on new years day for years. He booked his wedding over a year ago and didnt think we would have one this time round too. We wouldnt have if we hadnt been promoted again.

i cant honestly see pools and darlo playing in that ground. It could happen as early as August which is scary to think considering their was a 6 league gap not so long back.

Absolutely no chance of a game over the Christmas period? I suppose he couldn't have had a summer wedding when the Zoo is open to the public. It was a lovely day though apart from when got flustered during speeches and launched his own excrement at the keepers.

By the way could the detectives launch a case to find out who 'Loid Blackwell' is its a real difficult one?

They got there sooner than anticipated so all credit to the fans for getting behind this. As I said the ground as it stands does not meet the requirements for the next level on a number of counts, not least capacity and the tiny amount of seating.
It could be further developed but I am not sure that would work on the current site due to access arrangements and the fact it is still owned by the rugby club. As for the pitch I am not surprised it is poor being so close to the River Skerne.

Yeah there's no way Darlo could have a home for any significant period of time right next to the River Skerne

Its poor due to the fact its been used purely for rugby and the rugby clubs groundsman appears to be one of those types who thinks football is the work of the devil and followed by people just looking to get drunk and fight so doesn't appear to give a shit about preparing it properly for football. From what I have heard, Gray has booted off about it a few times about the lack of repair work done after a rugby game.
Its very noticeable too that as soon as the football is over they cant wait to get the goals out of the ground so they can get the rugby posts back in.
One big problem we seem to be having is that despite having spent a few hundred thousand upgrading their facilities and spending a fair amount in their bar on matchdays, we get treat like its a block booking at a sports centre, once 6pm has gone they expect you to have left the building.

TBF Loan Star that is what you are. No disrespect, but you are tennants at a Rugby Club. I would also look from within, as I have heard numerous "rumours" about the Lodgers "Demands", or to be polite "Wish list" at HP, regards to possible financial gain!

The difference is we didn't spend a few hundred grand on Heritage Park like we have at Blackwell. The club aren't even allowed access on non match days without rugby club representatives being there.
As for demands, are you sure they were demands or just requests? If you don't ask then you don't get, if the fans are bringing revenue in then is there a problem asking for a cut? If the questions weren't asked then someone isn't doing their job properly.

Mr Loan Star, the questions you ask, I presume you know the answers/ Anyway wrong board for this discussion!
